Smithing,enchanting,1handed,and shield is overpowered

Post » Tue Dec 13, 2011 6:09 am

I fixed this problem by playing on master difficulty without using smithing,enchanting,1handed,shield,and stealth.

Master difficulty its not super hard without them but still not impossible - u still can kill any enemy in game playing both warrior or mage.

I think smithing,enchanting,1handed, and shield need to be fixed cas alot ppl didnt know that they are overpowered - so they using them - and then complaining that game is too easy even on master difficulty.

______

Smithing and enchanting is most overpowered, but still conjuration,stealth,1handed,and shield need a litlle fix too cas when u combine them in one 1 char = for example warrior with 2 atronachs,1handed and shield. Game also becoming too easy.

Thanks.

I use 1-handed + shield and I still get killed every once in a while on adept. It is all a matter of perspective.

Typing "because" or even "cause" really isn't that difficult.

It's a single player game. It doesn't have to be balanced. You don't like something, don't use it, no need to attempt to fortce it on others who might not agree.

1Handed+Shield is not overpowered if u playing them without enchanting.

But when some one combines all best specs in game = in one char = for example warrior with conjuration,alchemy,smithing,1handed and enchanting. Game becomes extremaly unbalanced

So you're saying when someone uses all of the tools to make themselves a better combatant, they are better than someone that doesn't use all of the available tools?

just realised?

No i released this at 13 or 14 november. But tons of people still DIDNT - they are still complaining that game is too easy, when playing most overpowered specs combined in one char.

I dont think that Master Difficulty is too easy.
And i dont think that master difficulty is too hard or impossible.

Skyrim is fine, but i think some specs need a litlle fix.

Really? When you min/max and powergame, you become powerful? :o

I never would have expected that! :whistling:

The game is as hard or easy as you make it, based on your skills.

I don't see the problem here.

Most ppl who doing this - didnt know that, because they complaing that is game is too easy and still using best tools in game. I think its can be easy fixed by nerfing enchanting and smithing a bit.

It's not possible to NOT know unless you are stupid as a lobotomized dog... and in that case, there is not much anyone can do for those people.
Once again, no need to force imaginary walls on everyone, just because few people are stupid.

Min-maxing should not be removed, or nerfed. It SHOULD be possible to break the game and become ludicrously powerful, as long as you put in the time and effort - and make no mistake, min-maxing the perfect Alchemy/Enchanting/Smithing loops takes a lot of time and effort, and is extremely boring.

The skills should not be nerfed, because while that would solve the issue of them being too powerful when used in conjunction, it would also leave them underpowered individually. This would be A Bad Thing.

The only skill balance change that should be made is to improve Destruction, which is proven to be ineffective at dealing damage at high levels, and has no purpose outside of dealing damage. The fact that exploiting the system makes you all-powerful is not something that should be changed. The vast majority of players will not exploit the system, and will have competitive characters and still retain a challenge.

It doesn't need to be fixed. It's working fine. It's the people that complain about it that need to be fixed. It wouldn't be an Elder Scrolls game if you couldn't make yourself godly powerful if you so choose.

I feel like a lot of people that play/played WoW or most modern MMO's are hung up with trying to min/max, and then are surprised when they make the game too easy for themselves. The game isn't balanced around a set of raid bosses or for PvP. There's way more freedom here because it's a single player "Choose your own adventure" game.

It's all about getting into your character, whatever that maybe. Maybe he/she is a godlike warrior type. Maybe he/she is an archer that wears plain clothes and struggles to take down the most difficult opponents. It's all up to you, and that why TES is amazing.

Everything is fine with all of the crafting skills. Working as intended.

*sigh* Min/Max'ers complaining about a single player game..

If you think it's OP, don't use it.. Stop trying to screw it up for people who try to play the game normally
and don't grind leather/daggers and wear Daedric armor at level 5.

Exactly! This^ even down to the sigh. It is a single player game. You do not need to be concerned if the other millions of Skyrim players are using cheat codes or exploits or whatever, it isn't your problem.

I think it is cheesy myself- so I don't use the exploits, Why not do the same and not complain about it.

Using basic skills is not min maxing.

I suppose you think a warrior using a sharp object is a min/maxing heretic and needs to be burnt at the stake.

Aww sweetie, his post is replying to the OP, and saying it doesn't matter if people use overpowered methods to succeed. Please don't argue his opinion with him, it is ok that you didn't understand his post.

I did understand it, what I'm sick of is people banding about "min/max", "munchkins" and "powergamers" terms to things that are nothing of the sort.

Don't use terms you don't understand.
