Snow Elf Prince?

Post » Fri Jun 22, 2012 9:52 am

The last known snow elf prince died before they came the twisted little things they are now... He was also a formidable warrior who killed some of Ysgramor's strongest warriors.. WITH HIS SPEAR!!.. The nords did bury him instead of burning him like the rest of their enemies because of the respect they had for his skill, so he could of become a vampire, and certainly had the skill to become a high ranking one.. OR A LORD!!!
That was my thought process... I can't really think of another way to incorporate a Snow Elf Prince that supposedly died that many years ago without him being an immortal vampire.

looks to like the voliker(probably bad spelling here) might have resurected the snow prince as a puppet to get the falmor to be slaves and a food source for the vampires, then if you take the side of dawnguard then you would probably kill his master and just like the the reanimated dead turn to ash.
think that this is plausible or no?
That would be make sense actually. Highly unlikely but cool speculation none the less.

Aren't the Vampires suppose to inhabit caverns under the ice too, maybe the Snow Prince is infringing on their territory with an army of Falmer. Just a guess though...

You forget that we met Ysgramor who died years before the Snow Prince did. The latter was defeated during King Harald's reign who was 13th in Ysgramor's line, and we also learned a shout from Nord heros who died thousands of years ago. Last time I checked none of them were immortal vampires.

I could be wrong but one of the books says that Snow elfs can become realy old, and they dont need vampirism for that. Maybe the snow prince wasnt killed just wounded.

Spoiler

Maybe he is what was holding the vampire's daughter. You kill him and take her home.

Well, what we do know is that the whole point of the DLC's story is wiping out/blocking the sun, and Falmer are rendered blind through lack of light.
So if we mash these two facts together, perhaps the Falmer will be able to come out of hiding if you block out the sun, as in, perhaps they resurface themselves and can be randomly found in around the map or near dwemer ruins.
Or, perhaps the Falmer Prince has the secret to blocking out the sun or something.

Who knows? (:

Just call it a wild guess, but maybe Harkon is the snow elf prince? turned into a vampire thousands of years ago, each year spent plotting on how to bring glory to his clan of bloodthirsty, ruthless vampires? just a guess.

Hmm.. it did cross my mind for an instance, then i thought he doesn't look exactly look elfy, and i dont think he would build a clan of vampires of humans, plus the Falmer who died in the war with him were burned, and the other became the Beasts they are now...so that would make the vampire lords.. the same basic falmer and one Snow Prince

If the Snow Elf Prince was buried on Solstheim, and there seem to be frost giants -like karstaag- .. could the Fortress be near -probably not on- Solstheim?

also its possible the previous leader of the vampires ressurected him and turned him into a vampire to lead the vampires.

The top part of the ears are covered by his hair, of what we can see of his ears they look.. normal?
I think perhaps he is one of the others that we see in the room with him.

I do think another VL sired him, perhaps Harkon himself, although more to comand the Falmer more than the Vampires, a sort of "Obey Your Sire" sort of thing..

Or perhaps it not THE Snow Prince, but A Snow Prince ... well except the fact he lives underground with the rest of the falmer and is simply there leader... i hope not though

For a moment there I thought omg it's true, how come I didn't notice this before! But then I rewatched the video in fullscreen mode and saw that what makes his ears look pointy for a second, is just his dark hair reflecting the torch light.
He has round ears, watch the video again (full screen) pause it, and you'll see. :)

well who knows, maybe, but based on the statue : seems like hair would cover the tops of the ears, seeing as how harkon's hair is medium length but thick?
ps. just went on google images and went to the first result featuring the statue. lol

Haha, yeah, I actually went to the sanctuary just now (I have the game open), back to before it got flooded to get a closer look. This is what the ears look like very close up: http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/38/screenshot017copy.jpg/
Low quality of my screenshot aside I agree that the rest of his ear could be hidden under his hair, but snow elves have apparently always had ridiculously large bat like ears, so it would be kind of difficult to hide them completely I think.
He also doesn't look remotely like the statue otherwise: http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/10/screenshot016copyq.jpg/

Looks like there will be something Snow elfs related in the DLC. Maybe as a test how the players will like it, before creating an big Falmer themet DLC.

Well the elder scrolls are playing the roll as the main achievement in this game. And perhaps the scrolls will open up some interesting doors. Perhaps the snow elves and vampires were some how related. like they were past allies/ enemies or something. I don't know why I believe the two are tied together... But to me that seems like it would be something that would work.

If the Snow Prince turns out to be a Riekling, i'm not going to be happy.

Although it is interesting that in the in-game book 'The Falmer: A study' it says that the increase in Falmer activity in Skyrim could be the result of a planned invasion on Skyrim, if this is considered correct, perhaps the reason they're starting to become more hostile is due to the Snow Prince in some way.
