Snow Elves (spoilers)

Post » Sun Nov 18, 2012 8:41 am

does anybody else think that its pretty cool the snow elves still existed? its too bad their entire race is most likely going to die out due to the fact that they are probably the only two snow elves left.

Other than all the hints that Gelebor makes about how there could be other small settlements hidden in tamriel. But yes, I think it was awesome to see them. Their armor is sweet.

I think that Beth set it up with the whole, "There may be more enclaves out there...". I really hope Beth does something with them, and if not, then we can always hope for mods once the PC version is released.

Didn't Gelebor also say, that the betrayed have become more intelligent again over the past centuries, and that there might be hope for them, if we could find a way to communicate with them? I got the feeling that the betrayed aren't really aware of who they used to be anymore. He certainly seemed to believe that the others could still recover, if they learn about their race and manage to let go of their hatred.

I really hope that we get to meet more Snow Elves in the future and/or that the betrayed recover. Gelebor is such a nice guy, I don't want him to be all alone in the world.... it makes me sad :(

The Betrayed can't recover. They've gone through evolution to become what they are now, they aren't simply just blind snow elves anymore. Hopefully Gelebor can teach them to be peaceful.

It's got pretty good armor rating too, and makes for good armor for any holy kind of character.

Well, they were messing with Lorkhan's heart before disappearing... and the moons are Lokharn's body... it all makes (no) sense!

Well, the getting put in Oblivion would be somewhat unlikely, but possible. Time travel? Not so likely. There are enough Dragon Breaks as is, and Skyrim's civil war doesn't help, since there will have to be one for the next game because of it.

The Betrayed can't recover. They've gone through evolution to become what they are now, they aren't simply just blind snow elves anymore. Hopefully Gelebor can teach them to be peaceful.

If this is indeed a case of evolution, a 'recovery' can not be impossible. Evolution is a process that never stops and something that changed once, can always change again. If the betrayed were to start living peacefully, and more like the Snow Elves used to live, then their physical appearance would likely change again over the next couple thousand years. Not necessarily to what it was before their corruption, but if it was possible for them to evolve into something more primal, they can also evolve into a more sophisticated race again. Evolution allows you to adapt, so if their living conditions change, they do too (slowly).

In any case, I wasn't really talking about a physical recovery. The problem is what they do, not what they look like imo.
