Some of the music list revealed

Nothing I will miss at all when I install the inevitable music replacer mod that quadruples the playlist with whatever songs the user wants..

I'd love to see a lot more Gene Autry in there than just the confirmed Jingle, Jangle, Jingle. I agree about the Johnny Cash, though it's unlikely (a lot of the Elvis and Cash stuff are still under strict ((and expensive)) copyrights). His version of Ghost Rider would be sweet for New Vegas.

I can't wait to play! I'm going nuts here.

Gene Autry FTW! I've been listening to a lot of his CD's lately. I really hope he made it in somewhere. If so, even my childhood hero would be in New Vegas. Could it get any better?

whatever the default music included, it won't be enough - according to the writers its a 70 hour + game, so you're going to need all the music you can get. I loved the "More GNR" mod in FO3, 100 tracks was much better than the vanilla 20. Infact, if they make a "More Vegas Radio" mod it's the first thing I will be installing - and I'll probably pop the More GNR tracks into it (which included Jingle Jangle etc anyway)

and the music makes a BIG difference, it's surprising. The first time I played Mothership Zeta I hated it, was desperate to get off the ship. I couldn't work out why though, I mean it was still Fallout, still had quests and exploring and shooting stuff. It wasn't until I had finished, teleported back to Earth and "awwww this is Three Dawg!!" burst from the speakers that I realised WHY I hated it - no music! So when I did The Pitt I had a CD of the music ready to go, and enjoyed it immensely :celebration: (I just rationalised it that Three Dog had patched the signal into those radio towers up north, so his reach was extended as far as the Pitt. Made sense)

Sweet, Bing Crosby. Looks like it's going to be a great lineup; I just hope there's more than twenty songs for each station.

I agree, I just hope we get to hear his rendition of 'Brother can you spare a dime?', I LOVE that song.

they have to have some version of Mack The Knife, surely. First thing that comes to mind when they mention Vegas.

"Wrap your troubles in dreams" is very good as well, and very appropriate for the Fallout setting.

I loved Three Dog, though it may be because he reminded me of a very loved and popular DJ from the late 60's early 70's. Never the less I also liked how what my character did would end up with Three Dog news updates. I thought it was great.

Same here. Except when he would bug out. Like he would be about to speak about your character and just skip it. Then in other cases he would speak about events which had not happened yet. Ol' Three Dog cutting me off the radio and being a seer. Who would have guessed it?

Nice to have the music on youtube...thanks to OP. This is a nice mood setter even when not playing the game the music is relaxing.

Agreed. I'm pretty sure he was inspired by Wolfman Jack. I don't see why everyone hates him so much.

Does anyone know how the actual music will be in the game? Not the bands and stuff but the atmosphere music when you don't have the pip-boy radio on.

I would imagine it'll be silence. :twirl:

Wasn't that case in Fallout3 when you turned off all the radio stations? Just the sound of the character doing his/her stuff on screen. No music.

No, there was background music and such. Like When you go into a building to explore there was background music, Idk how to explain it.

Mack The Knife would be such a classic tune for this game. But since Wayne Newton is the DJ, they should have "Danke Schoen" too.

Fallout 3 might be one of the few games where I actually listened to the in game music.

Butcher Pete, Maybe, I dont want to set the world on fire, etc. etc.

I can't wait for Vegas, and the three 'main' songs (Jingle, Blue, Kick) are all beyond awesome. Can't wait to let my spurs jangle while fighting some Black Powder Gangsters.

Also, I think 3 Dog is awesome. Certainly better then that 'other' radio station.
