Something just occurred to me.

PS3 users should expect a 1 month delay anyways... sadly.

Never been a fan of the exclusivity deals concerning DLC on multi-platform games. At least gamesas isn't stooping so low as to make platform specific DLC deals, like some other companies have.

For example, PS3 gets one set, 360 gets something else entirely and if there's a PC version, it gets something different as well. All the while, no one gets access to all three unless they own all three versions. That right there is just as bad, if not worse, than day one paid DLC.

I completely agree. How terrible would it be if only one platform purchased the full rights to the DLC making it completely exclusive to that system permanently.

Believe it or not that is an actual possibility and we're all lucky that's not the case here. At least everyone will get the DLC at some point.

Even I would be angry if Microsoft bought the full rights to the DLC, but temporary exclusivity? Not a big deal to me.

I don't doubt for a second that had Microsoft thrown enough money at Bethesda, the DLC would have been entirely exclusive.

If I'm being honest, me and almost every other xbox user on these forums will be glad it's over.

Definitely good news for the PS3 and PC players. Of course, some Xbox extreme fans will complain "Oh we're not getting what we paid for!!!!" but ignore them.
I don't care. Good for them

Still got a couple of months yet before the next one, don't jump the gun! I know they said that, but they also said it would be for thirty days on the first one.. that went down the toilet. ;)

correct. take that, M$!
sony does it too
at least with Bethesda everyone will also get the dlc
sony on the other, often hand makes it exclusive to their console
and xbox players NEVER get the dlc.. red dead redemption and the upcoming assassins creed 3 are examples

I own PC, PS3 and 360 and the fact Microsoft's console gets exclusives is one of many good reasons to buy one. Hearthfire and Dawnguard are awesome and I played them before anyone else = brilliant. Anyone who slags off exclusive content is just jealous.

Why would you care if you can play it before someone else?

How does playing something before someone else make it better for you? Serious question because I really can't understand the reasoning behind this post.

Getting it as soon as it's available I can understand. But if the fact that you're playing something that someone else can't is "brilliant" for you I really don't know what nice things I could say about your juvenile personality.

You know when you see those little 5-7 year old kids running around saying "I have this and you don't!". He's probably one of them.

Or maybe it's not about playing early, it is about not playing late. It would be better if it wasn't that way, but you can't deny not playing later than others is a good thing.

Your post is nonsensical. I said what you're trying to describe. He also specifically said he likes being able to play while others cannot.

Again, I would like to see a link to where they said this because I can't find where they did and have no memory of them saying it. I've repeatedly asked folks to link me to such official comment and still...not seen it. My fear is that it's become a forum legend based on rumor and that the place will explode when they release the next one as xbox exclusive with folks saying, "but they said". Another fear I have is that they just won't count Hearthfire as a true DLC since it's really more of an added bit to keep us occupied while awaiting a larger one.

I may be wrong but but I just don't remember it being said nor has anyone I've asked, linked me to where they did.

I think someone made this up. I've been trying to find something on google about it, but came up with zilch.
