Something just occurred to me.

I can't find the exact quote, but back before Skyrim's release, I remember someone saying that only the first two DLC would be Xbox exclusives.

Hey look, we just got the second one. No more waiting that extra month?

Definitely good news for the PS3 and PC players. Of course, some Xbox extreme fans will complain "Oh we're not getting what we paid for!!!!" but ignore them.

I wouldn't say good news for the PS3 players. They haven't even gotten DG yet and since they can't even figure out that issue, they probably won't get Hearthfire either or any other DLC that comes out.

I sure hope so, it would be great to see a full expac release simultaneously on all platforms.

Well, no one has stepped in and told me I'm wrong yet. This is a good sign.

Especially if they all worked.

It's over but PS3 users will still probably have to wait due to the issues Bethesda has with porting to PS3.

this makes me a sad panda. i actually feel bad that ps3 users dont have dawnguard yet, and probably wont get hearthfire for a long while still. normally i just write these off as SEP's(Somebody Else's Problem) but this one i do have an inkling of how frustrating it must be.

I really doubt that. As an xbox player myself, I couldn't care less about the 1 month exclusive. I'm not even sure what the point of it is.

Personally I hate exclusives, but never really understood why people were hating on Microsoft for the timed exclusives. I'd rather just be able to wait a month, but still know I'm getting the content then do what PS3 does and have content that never gets released on the other platforms. (Batman AA and AC, Red Dead Redemption, Bioshock, ect)

I've heard this often on the forum but I haven't seen it linked to or written. Doesn't mean it wasn't said I would just love a link to it.

That and I'm not sure they will even consider this one a full DLC.

Yes, because the dumb people at Microsoft were ignorant enough to not have anolyzed and elucidated the terms and conditions of the contract before they signed it.

You must be one of the few who haven't been around the forums for a while and noticed how the outrageous amount of posts on the matter had to be confined to one thread due to mass chaos. Maybe you missed the absolutely ridiculous and absurd posts from the PS3 players threatening actual harm and destruction on the developers and their headquarters.

Yeah, but you're right. Only the Xbox users will complain for "not getting what they payed for".

I guess that is true isn't it? Never really thought about that I haven't seen anything confirming it either.

Also, even if the exclusive deals are up, it doesn't mean all the systems will receive the add-ons and DLC at the same time as previous games have shown us this unfortunately.

Never been a fan of the exclusivity deals concerning DLC on multi-platform games. At least gamesas isn't stooping so low as to make platform specific DLC deals, like some other companies have.

For example, PS3 gets one set, 360 gets something else entirely and if there's a PC version, it gets something different as well. All the while, no one gets access to all three unless they own all three versions. That right there is just as bad, if not worse, than day one paid DLC.

Indeed, really the only people that benefit are MS - this is the way they sell their console, by offering exclusives.

What they don't seem to have worked out yet, is that in the middle of a recession (during which the prices of necessaries such as food has increased, but wages have not!) I am not about to go out and buy an xbox just so that I can access a few bits of DLC 1 month earlier. It just seems like a flawed marketing strategy to me at this particularly difficult time, it hasn't made me give up food to buy an xbox just so I don't have to wait a few weeks for content - I'll just wait until it's out on my platform and then see if I can afford it thank you very much!

Im an xbox user and I didnt really care about an exclusive, we all get it anyways eventually so who cares. But I doubt they will let HF slip by as the second exclusive, I dont think MS is that dumb. Personally, the more the merrier, but I doubt that it will count.

on the contrary exclusivity is bs and im glad ps3 and pc players will be able to enjoy dlcs when they come out and not have to wait for them cause if i learned one thing waiting for skyrim to come out its that waiting for a game you want is agony.
