I had, literally, 5 HP when I got to him, so I told him to go away for now.

He really isn't that hard to kill. I always try and finish him off with an awesome Melee move.

Half you people kinda seem like you play on normal. Nothing wrong with that..just no matter what I always play on Very Hard/hardcoe

Might I recommend Turbo, some backpedaling, and C4?

I talked him to go away, I tried killing him once, but failed miserably.
No speech is too hard with my 90 speech skill! (and sixy night wear of course!)

I killed him with Oh Baby!, with piercing strike and superslam perks, plus 10 strength and 100 melee, he went down very quick.

Of course. Increasing enemy HP does not equal increasing difficulty. I hope Bethesda learns that by Skyrim.

I am having big trouble. I have the Anti-material rifle with about 12 shots, but have not been able to kill the big guy. I have tried running down the steps and up onto a ledge on the right where I can buy some time but then a whole lot of other baddies eventually show up so I end up getting overrun. After maybe 20 different tries I gave up and went back to Hoover Dam from an earlier save in search of more ammo or bigger guns, but no luck so far. Seems like I have killed everyone in the dam!

I just take every AP increasing substance in the game and rack up about a dozen Fore! with Nephi's Golf Driver. He never even gets a hit in.

when i first started the battle, I crouched and moved to where i could see his head, and shot it with an antimaterial rifle, the sneak attack critical combined with his head and the gun did not kill him, but Veronica and Cannibal Johnson kept him occupied until i prepared my armor piercing weaponry, a brush gun I think. I unloaded a clip in VATS into him, and down he went. Monster of the East downed by HG# 141.

I charged at him head-on and engaged him in glorious hand-to-hand combat like a man.

The Living Soldier wins before going to War, the Dead soldier goes to war, then tries to win.

Took some hints and scarfed down every drug/helper I could think of and then it was easy to kill the Legate!

YCS sneak shot + drugs + mines. I don't negotiate with freaks in masks.

The Manly Soldier goes to War and punches the enemy in the face repeatedly.

I ran the battle several times using different approaches, but the most fun has got to be loaded up with chems (Turbo, Buffout, Med-X, Psycho at a minimum), shoot Blade of the East out of his hand, pick it up, and watch him flee!

well you can get the tesla beaton prototype alot of ammo and energy weapons 100 ......and have a fun time!! :gun:
