SPOILER; How to easily kill Legate Lanius once you've engage : Fallout: New Vegas

Load up on C4 charges. One Detonator will bow up several charges(one per time). Let Lanius chase you into the gladiatorial arena(the empty pen next to the tent with a motorized knife sharpener wheel), Put a C4 charge facing the doorway and several more facing the entrance from in side of the pen. More away from them and draw
your detonator. Start popping them as soon as you see Lanius coming through the said door way. He will be blown to bits and you then loot his body and save.

:tops: Same here, I even managed to attract his praetorian guard before he ran down so it was just him and my multiplas rifle. There wasn't much left of him after the first volley.

I used a chainsaw... Cassidy used a chainsaw... ED-E used a laser weapon...

It was... bloody, to say the least.

I prefer actually speaking to him as well, it's not that he's a difficult kill, it's just nice to get to know him :twirl:

Every time I kill a NCP like Caeser or Lanius. I picture the coder committing suicide: I can't bring myself to destroy unique NPC's

Good. Now do it again when he comes back with a bigger army.

A nice slaughter of your enemy's biggest baddest dude is a good way to demoralize them from attempting to attack you again.

I killed him with that there super sledge ( forget the name, its been a while) and a ton of pain meds. Also had veronica punching him and ED-E doing what he does best, being a portable music player.

I never bring myself to kill him for some reason. With general oliver its easy but with legate lanius, how can i bring myself to kill the best evil character i have ever seen

Step up, look into his eyes directly, hear him muttering something about your end in wrong anticipation, unveil the mighty Alien Blaster, think "Sorry pal, that game was rigged from the start", fire 2 shots at his head, dig out his mask from the Ash Pile lying ahead of you, smile.

Not that overpowered, it's damage is 50 (Sniper Rifle is 42).

I did the talk thing once to hear what they had to say, now I RP how I'd really deal with people like that....pop thier melon with JSPs and make the world a better place.

Difficulty you play on is ?

I laid a crapload of mines on the ground, with C4.
Shot him with Archemedies (that just pissed him off, like poking a damn grizzly).
then ran back, he activated the mines.after knocking boone out, then I found after that he was still alive (this guy is insanely strong) and get attacked by him and his praetorians, and then just spam stims and wittlehis health down with my BAR.

I never had a conversation with the Legate. Boone's always with me so there's not a lot of talking.
