No, when you turn back all your gear is still on you, but the VL form lasts forever until you disable it so less like the Ring of Hircine
Ok, that's better than I thought. I was just hoping it wouldn't be a once a day thing.

Nope but if yu use the Totem that lets you detect life there is a perk that improves that
Dang. I specifically didn't choose a Khajit for my wolf character because I thought we were getting night vision. Oh well, I'll just switch the characters then, haha.

So despite apparently being two different strains of vampirism, the two types we have in Dawnguard function identically aside from one's inability to transform?

The Volkihar are just considered to be a pure strand, while the Thin-Bloods are the same strain but are merely seen as "Diseased"

fast travel to the vale, take the hill that leads to the snow spiders, keep hugging the mountain wall to the right until you come to a waterfall you cannot pass, look for the broken arch.

It kicks like Skooma mixed with Sleeping Tree Sap so there is a visual effect and you get slowed down

Is that what it does? Zexis the Imperial never uses drugs unless absolutely necessary. They mess you up, man...

Speculative: Is there any chance that the VL perks and abilities could be modded on PC to be adapted to normal form? The grab spell for instance?

Perks: Aside from the two new trees, are there any new passive, non-tree perks that improve your character somehow? Things like 'Agent of Mara' or anything of the sort?

Factional balance: Is it just me or does the DG gives you a ton of stuff you can never get by siding with the Vamps? Once the questline is over, aide from the different pets, is there anything actually useful thats unique to the Vampire side?

Random vampire attacks: How do you prevent these from hurting NPCs all over Skyrim?

The shards are part of a 'key' that opens up the aetherium forge. If you just listened to Katria...

1. heck should I know. Most likely.
2. there are some, but they aren't spell related
3. There is nothing useful on the Vampire side except for the cool story
4. You can't. it svcks

Have you tried activating the quest? It should give you markers. I'd give you the ruin's name, but I don't quite remember it.
