A new lesser power (Mark New Home) will be added to your character's Spells list. You activate it from the spells list, and you cast it with the z-key (like a shout).

I am now imagining this actually as a shout. Your character turns to their significant other and suddenly bellows "HOME SWEET HOME!" or "HOW ABOUT HERE, DARLING? THIS LOOKS NICE!".

Or maybe just 'house' in the style of 'Fus' from 'Fus Ro Dah'.

"HOUS!"

Well, if you aren't married in real-life, testing how it is ingame might be a good idea... or a discouraging idea, depending on how you look upon it.
Well, I've only been married in RL for 15 years, can't think why I've not bothered in game yet ;)

Well, it's more like your character thinking "this is a good place to live with my dear". there are not lights or sounds, only a litle message on the upper left corner (this was needed as else the player won't know if the power had worked)

To say the truth, people in game are not too talkative and the way marriages are arranger is a little... "I need a box of needles" "I have one" "cool, it's that an amulet of mara?..." :P

Vilja was right there, tied for #1 Best mod for Oblivion Spot with Heart of the Dead. Glad that you two are getting into Skyrim. But it would be nice for this mod t have more immersive messages...
