Stand out - embrace class diversity, imbalance, and the trin

Classes restricted by Faction. This actually makes alot of sense to vary the Factions a bit. For Example the Ebonheart Pact features 3 Races that have no skill in any sort of Heavy Armor. This could lead to the "Warrior" class of a "Barbarian" or "Berserker" while their "Thief" class could focus more on Assasination as both Argonians and Dunmer are best known for beeing ruthless assasins (Morag Tong and Shadowscales) and since astrid we know nords can get quite abit of that too.

I think you're forgetting that historically (Morrowind and Oblivion at least) that Nords received a bonus to Heavy Armor. The Aldmeri Dominion would be a better example, since it features a magically inclined race (Aldmer) and both "stealthy" races. That said, I personally don't want my classes to be restricted based off of what race (and thus faction) I prefer to play. That was part of the beauty of earlier ES games--You could pick a race/class (such as they were) based off of what gave you the best starting advantage, or ignore it and still end up being just as good at it as someone that chose a combination with more immediate benefits.

well yess, the only thing i realy dont want is "Warrior, Mage, Thief" as classes. and thats it.

also it would be interresting to play the more specialized Race unique Classes such a Redguard Alikr Warrior.

All I know is that limiting people and forcing balance is a recipe for a boring disaster. Every game that has been to focused on this is dead, dieing, or more boring than a pile of rocks, which can be pretty exciting actually.

Crafting/trading/politics etc should be just as important as combat and if you chose to delve into them your combat should suffer.

I am for a skill based class system with degradation and caps. If you don't use it you lose it.

Let it be imbalanced, it makes things fun. Not everyone wins in life, that's why some people are doctors and lawyers while others work at burger king.
