Honestly, I can understand people's excitement for a new IP, but we've already got a retro-future sci-fi shooter with Fallout. I'd like something different.

Exactly, I'd like to see a cross between TES and FO set in space. Guns, swords, "magic", the vacume of space, alien worlds.

Yeah, space isn't a problem. It just needs magic. Something mysterious and impossible to understand.

Yeah I agree. I'm thinking swords (cutlasses, sabers, scimitars, perhaps even jian, dadao, and katanas) and other melee weapons like axes, clubs/hammers and pikes, instead of bows you have primitive firearms, of course some kind of magic system, and glorious Victorian era inspired space ships (think early battleships in space!), clothing, weapons and armor, and architecture.

I'd be interested in a video game like that with a combination of everything developed by Bethesda Game Studios.

If that quote was really from Kirkbride, I can tell why he would want metal to be scarce. He didn't want a machine world taking over his sci-fi setting, as most sci-fi settings are. Cannonballs with names is a little dramatic, but I can understand how he would want it to be different.

It svcks when something you make looks like everything else.

Cannonballs with names, so when you fire them, you would then retrieve them. I imagine each would have a different property.

One of them, will probably be called Red Rock.

If cannonball's are named, is each piece of artillery.
