Steam unlock 1 hour earlier?

Post » Wed May 09, 2012 8:07 am

So I was expecting my game to unlock at 11pm local time but it's saying it will unlock in aproximately 3 hours wich is 10pm :celebration:

I'm not sure if I miscalculated it before or they changed the unlock time.

Anyone else noticed this in their regions?

It unlocks by region, not by timezone.

For example, in North America, its unlocking at midnight EST. This means that its unlocking at 11PM CST, 10PM MST, and 9PM PST.

I wish it would unlock an hour or two early on the East Coast.

I want to at least be able to have some time to create a character before shutting down for the night.

svcks - I'll have to wait until Friday night to start playing.

What I mean is that it was 11pm before, now it says 10pm.

Can any other West Coasters confirm that theirs says 8 hours from now? That'd be 9:15 tonight?

I didn't preorder, and I was going to pick up a copy tomorrow. But if I can get a few hours in tonight, I may go Steam.

Yes, they've moved the release one hour forward in CET as well.

Didn't get my copy in the mail today as promised though, so guess I'll sleep anyhow. Atleast I don't wreck my sleep cycle... FFS ><

For europe it's supposed to be midnight GMT, which would make the three hours correct. That's what mine shows too.

Welcome to the club.
Steam most likely unlocks the game at Midnight GMT+0 for whole europe. :brokencomputer:

US unlocks at the same time meaning the moment east gets it west gets it, so yes 9pm is correct. 21:01 to be precise

So by region then.
All western American are cheering up. They get it early because Atlantic Timezone is regarded priority.
All Europeans east of UK are down in the dumps because these fish and chips svckers are regarded the ones that matter. :shocking:

You know, there's advantages and disadvantages to living on the same coast as Bethesda. This is one of the disadvantages.
