They need to patch more than just ParallaxOcclusionMapping : from what i saw bout DX11, Tesselation & stuff - POM is almost old stuff, Displacement mapping + ease of use of Tesselation is the next best thing. Though they nailed it with HDR/SSAO/PostMSAA/etc. Plus i still think 3DOcean tech looks best on PC (obviously). I let you in on a secret guys : i still wanna buy the game, even though unable since - a) don't have too much ca$h for it & it doesn't matter since b) it didn't shipped yet to Israel (buying it through Steam is not my cup of coffee either - i got a full SamHD game to purchase instead, sorry

). But i might [re]think about purchasing it (Crysis 2), if EA/Crytek will pull this "no DX11 for you PC gaming guys this month/time, sorry" type of heist. What was the other thing i wanted to say when said that they need more than just to patch POM ? They need to patch your pockets with money in case & there won't be DX11 patch (since it should be), but most important - they need to patch our PC gamers beleife in them as PC gaming tech pushers. Currently i said, i repeat - they did partially lost my beleife in them as the ones that develop next-gen PC hardware taxing games. DOF with Bokeh filter & multiGPU/multithreaded rendering support & optimizations is all good & stuff, but DX11 ? Judging from screens - DX9.5 maybe + sharper than in C1 textures. I hope that i lost my beleif in them for nothing, since they are not exactly the ones that invented ca$h-cow milking (though judging from this situation they do look like the ones that know how to do it & doing it, unfortunatelly), but if they will pull this heist............. EA is known for it : The Sims, Spore, Dead Space, even NBA/NFS/etc... & EASports trademark, but Crytek ? This will definitelly be f***ed up, if EA/Crytek pull it. It will definitelly ring in my head : Metro 2033 & rest, but not C2, nor Crytek anymore. Hope that atleast by March 26th or by beginning of April (April 2nd, not April 1st

) something, some news will surface. I still have my beleif in you Crytek.
P.S. Contact them (EA/Crytek) relentlessly with this issue, people. Seriously - contact them.
