El Stormo's Game Quiz, Year 3 day 7

Post » Thu May 03, 2012 7:46 am

I was going to say "me too", but Stormy will learn from it and make next year's quiz even more evil! So let's be quiet and hope he doesn't notice...
Oh hi!

I have a confession to make......

I've never played Half-Life 2. Or even Half-Life. I intend to eventually, but up until recently I have been a console-only gamer.
Really? Well, they're really cheap to pick up these days. Don't you even get them for free with a Steam account? I think you do...

Those countless hours of Stumble'ing finally paid off... I knew they were worth something.

No, they're still $10.

Summer is coming, which means Steam summer sale, which means you must buy them...

Don't say it like he has a choice. Dude, you have to buy the HL games or Gabe Newell will come to your house and sit on you. Not even joking right now.

I forgot it was a weekend, so this round doesn't close now, but in 24 hours.

I read that in Sean Bean's voice, and was terribly confused.

I did better than I had first expected, got two points this round! ^_^

[censooooooooooooooooooooooorrrrrrrrd]! On the one question I got wrong in the last round (#4), I was on the fence between it being a weapon or tutorial, and I went with the latter. [censored] son of a [censored] [censored] [censored] [censored] meecrob! :banghead:
Yeah I did the same with one of the others (the "lost a limb" one). The only ones I knew (Barret, Eli Vance and Altair) had both designed a gun and lost a body part. But I forgot about Altair's missing finger, so I had to go with the first one...

I think you only find out in the second game, but it was him who originally designed all the stuff that Ezio gets to use.

Ah, riiiight. Someone (I forget who) told me ACII was exponentially better than the original, so I should really try it.

It's definitely a better game - there's more to do so you'll take longer to get bored of it - but it's also bigger, so there's still a risk of getting bored before the end. From what I've seen of Brotherhood and Revelations they went too far in the opposite direction. There's too much to do and a lot of it is lame. Although Brotherhood has probably the best online multiplayer I've ever played.

You mean PS3? Because it never came out on PS2.

Oops, I meant the original HL.

Not a fan of the multiplayer aspect of almost all games, but yeah, if there's less repetitive tedium, it's worth checking out. Summer sale soon anyway ^_^

No me neither, which is one of the reasons I consider it such a gem. It was reason enough for my old housemate to have is Xbox Live subscription anyway...

Gah! Damn this whole "moving house" thing. It's the first time since 2009 anything interesting has happened on the forum and I have no Internet. The uni machine I'm on now doesn't even have speakers.
