Your custom cfg was posted here a couple days ago and I tried it. It was indeed a huge help. I just went line by line and looks like a newer/longer cfg compared to what I have. I'll try it later and see if it helps even more. Thanks again.

Fixed the tearing but there's still lots of pop-in and the framerate remains choppy.

Does your rageconfig.cfg file setting have any effect on NPC flickering/weapon glitches/blocky texture glitch?

The game runs at a very high framerate for me at 1920x1080 on my laptop, no texture streaming/pop in problems, and so far, it looks absolutely stunning except for weapon glitches and NPC flickering in Wellspring. If I turn off Catalyst A.I., then I get the large blocky tile artifacts on terrain and NPCs.

New 1080p Full High-Definition Settings Screenshots: http://imgur.com/a/TlY6r#a6xPg

Enjoy -FusedCore

I noticed that you added a new cfg template for "High Definition Computers"

Can you explain what is different about this from the "High End" system or "Mid-Range" system cfg files?

Also, I noticed that I have been using the following settings in my Steam launch options, but I have no idea what purpose they serve and they don't seem to be reflected in your cfg file template:

+jobs_numthreads 4
+mem_phymemblocksizem 3072
+m_rawinput 1

Do you know what sort of function this is and whether I should add them to the cfg file or keep them in the launch options?

Thanks very much!

I just wanted to bump this because FusedCore's fixes have really worked in my case. I have 11.9 drivers running (installed directly over 11.8 if it matters), the long config file he has linked, and Catalyst AI disabled per the instructions at his link. Prior to disabling the Catalyst AI I was seeing major artifacting and that eliminated it entirely. We'll see if it holds up, but in this configuration I've yet to see a load crash either. Prior to this vanilla 11.8 was giving me the best results, but load crashing was increasingly common and texture pop-in was very bad.

Try the HD one, If you have issues with it then switch to the High-end one.

-FusedCore

The HD one is working pretty good a little bit of stuttering but its playable. I just wish the resolution of everything wasn't so low

They still haven't stickies this yet? Best fix I've tried so far.
Game looks much better, FPS = frames per second, doubled.
Smoother play & much more. I used the HD config.

System:
i7 2600K @ 4400Ghz
Water cooled Corsair H50
2x2gb GSkill 7-8-7-24--1n
2x MSI GTX480's
Asus P8P67 WS Revolution

Trying the HD config with Sli enable & disabled.
Single card disabled was sluggish low 30fsp. Was like you was running & stop & running again.
Sli enabled 60fps. smooth as silk.

Thanks for your time.
ID should hire you & fire the team that put this short junk game together.
14/15 hours of play time "from start to finish" is way to short for a $60.00 price tag.

$60 is especially too much with all this work you have to do just to play the game

I just went to play & I see stream giving me a update for Rage.
I sure hope it doesn't mess up everything I just fixed.

FusedCore, I would like to thank you very much, all the texture problems have disappeared, and my blurry textures are less frequent. Still, I have a problem. I kept trying different ways to make this game work better, uninstalled and reinstalled the ATI drivers from 11.6 to 11.10. In any case, before I used your rageconfig, i used many others, with less or no effect at all. I had problems with textures and pop-ins or however you called them, but my framerate was between 50 and 60. Now I have tried all your configs, from HD to lowest, and in all of them I get between 10-20 fps, moving horribly :(. Do you have any suggestions on what to do to repair this problem? I have tried deleting the rageconfig file, uninstalling/reinstalling the game and my videocard drivers, but the problem remains. Also, my framerate is the same, no matter which one of your configs I use.
My specifications, if they are of any help: Intel Core 2 Duo E6750 2x2.66 (Overclocked at 3.033Mhz), 6 Gb DDR2 800, ATI Radeon 4830 512mb/256bit

The patch update I just got from stream for Rage lower my frame rate down to 30 in most area & 60 in some places standing still.
Where I was getting 60fps most of the time anywhere doing almost anything. :(
