That's going to be a problem if you ever get stuck inside in a building with out being able to fast travel to get unstuck.

Will need to create one save before entering the building and being careful.

Hehe. There's always somebody worse off. I feel for console owners, I really do, having been one for my whole teenage life. Got my first PC built four years ago. Still, I'm psyched for this new mode. I haven't actually played much in the last month, maybe a couple of hours a week, just because I didn't want to be burnt out for when I start a Survival character. This is going to be great!

I hope.

You know, I know alot of people are ferociously loyal to their respective platforms, especially so in the PC community. I have no love-loss for anybody, "different strokes" as the adage goes. Personally, as a family guy not too far off from 30, the console fits our household much better than my dropping who knows how much into a gaming PC (that would absolutely admittedly be a selfish purchase) . Don't get me wrong, if I could justify it I'd jump on board that train too, but I'm admittedly a Sony guy, good, bad, or indifferent.

Plus, I don't mind waiting a bit longer for whatever wrinkles there may be to get ironed out of the beta. I'm certainly looking forward to it though.

Nice. Is it just survival or are there also bug fixes? Not at home so can't check it yet.

So, does it replace the current mode or does it add a new one?

Yeah, I feel you. It's getting harder and harder justifying my PC expenditure to my wife. In the end it comes down to the fact that I don't go out drinking with my mates every week, I don't buy cars or mod my car, I don't buy clothes or shoes, etc. The only hobby I really have is the PC so she gets why every four to five years I want to blow a grand or so on new hardware. If I had some other hobbies I wanted to fund too I'd be right back onto consoles. I had some good times back when I had my Xbox 360. And the PS3. And the Wii. And the PS2. And the Original Xbox...

Yeah, I never sold my consoles, and always managed to pick them up really cheap off friends or colleagues. I only sold them to eventually fund a PC build. I also don't get the "PCMasterRace" and "Console Peasant" thing. Just play what you want and be happy. Sometimes I still play PS1 or GBA games emulated on my Android phone. It's all just having fun with video games. Who cares what hardware you're on?

It would seem as if you can't use any mods with this beta either. The normal tricks of using nmm to launch, or altering plugins file don't work.

I just hope they fixed all of the bugs that I could fix with the console too and the bugs that require me to reload too.

Congratulation to Bethesda for sticking with their rules toward the super-survival.

Also, I really liked how well ''role-played'' was the presentation page on the bethesda site (like presenting one of the programer as a ''survivor''), well done guys.

Just noticed the same. I've rather hastily backed out of this beta and hope I can get mods working again...

If it replaces the current survival mode, then I guess I could switch between survival and regular mode to quick save or fast travel then.
