i certainly wouldnt play oblivion again , this game is just a lot better.

I like to play slow to and chat to everyone and see the sights , but when i find a quest that intrests me i do that then get back to exploring and chatting , once i thinki've spoken to everyone in an area i do all the quests from there.

I'm taking it easy just exploring and finding locations taking it all in. Only done 3 or 4 easy missions so far. No rush....

Slow and steady. I walk super slow admiring the scenery. In about 5 hours I've gotten to River Run, slept in the inn, read some books on history in game, and learned to smith.

Im with you. Its been awhile that ive felt this immersed in a world. Its been the npcs so far and the art direction and those atmospheric sounds. From the first moment where Rolof stopped in the road and pointed out Black Falls Barrow i knew. That logging town felt like home for 3 hours and i wanted to just hang out there.

Im playing with my feet on my subwoofer and the sound cranked. Going through black falls was awesome.

I've been playing for three or four hours and just turned level 4 a few minutes ago. I headed over to Riften instead of going where I was told, lol. So far I have finished one quest. I have finished one dungeon. So, yes, I think I'm taking it nice and slow. Just roaming the countryside, admiring everything around me, having fun.

Still level 5 and just killed my first dragon. Having a ball with my first Dragon Shout, which i used by accident and blew a few townpeople to their knees lol. Guards were not impressed :D

So far I've done a small portion of the main quest, and thankfully it isn't as pressing as Oblivion's early on, and I've also done a couple things for the Companions all on adept difficulty. Other than that it's been side quests, ooh and I just found my first Daedric Shrine! So far I've killed four dragons, but I have more dragon souls than shouts to spend them on... :/

Playing on Master, mostly. Also taking it slow, but I am an extremely slow player anyway, to the point of leaving a lot of games I like unfinished (actually, I tend to finish those I don't like as much a bit faster).

The game, is awesome. I'm having trouble leaving Riverwood and moving on...

Level 8 btw.

I've been playing like 5 hours and am still level 1, hehee. That should change soon. I've been reading too many history books I suppose.

I only was able to play for 2 hours last night and took it realllllly slow, not even in Riverwood yet! I think I will probably start over, too, just to let the beginning sink in a little more.
Spoiler
Is there any difference between going with the Imperial or the Stormcloak (blanking on names at the moment) in the very beginning?

Me too. My Nord barbarian charcter made it down the hill to Riverwood and hasn't left yet. I think (seriously) he could probably just live in Riverwood for days or weeks, and I'd be happy with this becasue there's SO much content even in this simple village.

So, yea, I'm taking it slow. I always take RPGs slow.

I'm stilll going back to Cyrodiil. It's an awesome game in its own right, and has a few things to offer that aren't present in Skyrim. Both games  basically.

what difficulty are you playing on?

Adept. Or whatever the default is. I play dead is dead, so I'm not having my character die this early in the game, although (to be honest) if he does get pwned, I won't have a problem starting all over again.

After playing Skyrim for 11 hours now I can say I won't be returning to Oblivion ever again! Skyrim is so much better! I just love everything about it! ^^

Haven't come that far either, done a few side quests and the main quest in Whiterun, been mostly running around and exploring, watching the beautiful scenery. =)

Difficulty is default, I think it's "Adept".

Playing adept and basically crawling through the game.

This is mainly because I'm playing a DiD char wich means I need to be very careful.

Playing on expert, pure mage. When I enter a town I talk to everyone and pickup all the quests I can. Outside town I pickup every ingredient I can find. I go slow and often spin around looking behind me and to the sides. I'm always paranoid about something coming up and chewing on me without noticing. I swear a few times I've turned and seen a wolf a couple feet away in mid air jumping at me. I jumped! :blush2:

In dungeons I move in sneak mode until a fight starts.

I'm definitely taking this one slow. I haven't even made it to Whiterun yet. This game is GORGEOUS and I'm having a blast just looking at it.

I think I will play Oblivion again though. There are places there that I love (Anvil, the view from Frostcrag Spire) and sometimes I like to go back and visit the familiar. I think of it as if I'm just visiting another province in Tamriel.
