You guys are right. I think a strong Telekinesis should be able to lift a person off there feet and toss them in the air.

It would be great to have that as an expert/master alteration spell. And Bethesda demonstrated the ability to fling NPCs around with
Spoiler
The Telekinetic power that the Vampire Lords have.

Its clear the creation of the explorable world always consumes most of the time budget, we can only hope they continue to pad out the gameplay through the content patches. Although it might be hoping a bit too much for revamped magic.

Honestly, besides Unrelenting Force and a some of the new ones in Dawnguard that I won't talk about, I would plain forget that the right bumper was used in the game. Not that I think shouting is pointless, but normally if I wanted magic I'd make a magic character.

Unrelenting force is essential a psychic force knockdown, they just wrapped it around the ridiculous shout mechanic.

I will totaly drop a golden coin on the floor, and levitate it in front of beggar. Then throw it into canol or something. Oh my inner demons are awakening.. Rabbit raw meat levitating in front of the children... Bloody Imperial armor floatin in front of Imperial soldiers..
I just thought of at least 50 hours of evil gameplay.

Actually, that's the kind of stuff you can pull off with the telekinesis spell now. You just need an adept level of skill in Alteration.

Sadly, Telekinesis will never be what it should be. There is so much more to do with it than simply throwing crap around. First, you must ditch the common notion of 'moving' an object and replace it with 'manipulating' an object. How would one 'manipulate' an object? In any way they can imagine. What exactly would be an 'object'? Anything, from a single cell to the planet itself. Some examples:
  • Crush a victim's heart, killing them, instantly.
  • Grab projectiles (magic, arrows, bullets, or whatever) and redirect them, typically back towards the shooter. Or just stop them in midflight. (Think Matrix)
  • Erase memories by creating a small stroke in a specific area of the victim's brain.
  • Tear a victim apart. (Think X-Men 3)
  • Detect any physical object within a radius of the user. Range would be determined by the skill and mental strength of the user.
  • Create and control golems made from dirt and rock.
  • If you can imagine it, telekinesis could probably do it.
Telekinesis is the most powerful weapon possible, but is so shamefully diluted in any game it is in that it becomes a parlor trick. So much potential, wasted. Other thoughts I have on telekinesis is that the user cannot use it on themselves, sort of a sub-consious defense against accidently killing yourself, so flight would be more along the lines of causing the object the user is standing on to fly. (Think Eureka 7) Also, the user's eyes would glow white, indicating that they are using their telekinesis.

That would make someone a God really...

But I don't doubt it's possible.

Wow, you're really getting into it. I mean, "Alteration" does kind of imply the power to control everything around you, and that's a lot of things to control. :P
