Yea, I'm waiting for Gonzo to catch fire too, although my offense has been fine with him performing just average. My biggest concern now is with Doc Halladay's health.

I couldn't imagine keeping more than one or two (max) bench offensive players. With pitchers it's relatively simple to tell if they're going to be pitching or not, but it's kind of a crapshoot regarding offensive performance.

I have three bench players, usually only two.

Pedroia is reportedly out for at least a month. I'm sorry to hear that as a Sox fan, (Crawford, Ellsbury, Pedroia...who is next?) and I also have him in my home-league.

If that's true I'm going to cry. I'm still holding out hope since there's no report from the Sox or any official word...but if he's gone until July, the only hope the Sox will have will be to hold out until Ellsbury and Crawford get back.

I heard on the Red Sox station during the rain delay that the plan is to keep Pedroia's thumb immobilized to heal for a week or two and then get him back into games. If that's the case I'll be extremely relieved. Heck, if he only has to be out for a week I'd be ecstatic.

I an pretty damn happy I got ahold of Mike Trout on my keeper league. #kidcanplaysomeball

He and mccutcheon will make 2/3 of a nice OF for the next decade.

Is it just me, or has this year been a little bit less active here on the forums.

I think it has. I'm busy with work, so I know I haven't been that active.

And related to the activity:
I'm leaving tomorrow for Germany for the next two months, meaning I won't be watching much baseball. However, I will continue to dominate the league monitor my team, as well as I can by just reading reports and box scores and stat lines. But I don't think I'll be around as much.

Undead Fiend and Suffca, what's up?

And can I complain about Adrian Gonzalez one more time? I'm fine with a .267 average when you're hitting home runs, but he's only hit 4 on the season. And from a Red Sox perspective, look at how damn tight the AL East is. No team in the AL East is particularly good, and no team is terrible, so it could be a division that the Red Sox dominate.

Gonzalez will figure it out, he always does...but hopefully he turns it on within a couple of weeks. I'm just afraid he's going to finish the season with really lackluster power numbers.

And Gstaff. He's got about 5 people on the DL starting and a bunch of folks on the bench that are healthy. I'm dominating, but it's annoying winning like this.

You could be on the other end of the spectrum and be dominated by those guys. Like me.

Ruiz and Dunn are both paying big dividends on average and power numbers, respectively. Gonzalez also looks to be figuring it out. He's not missing his pitches and is using the opposite field a lot more lately.

I finally got a new job (Books-A-Million) and they're giving me a LOT of hours. 30 hours this week, 40 next wee, etc. And plus I have to find time for my writing and reading, and of course Skyrim. I'm doing my best to stay current. My team ahd been above .500 before last week's implosion. :/

I've got Cain, Hamels, Wilson and Lynn all pitching today. With any luck that'll give me a big boost to my wins and strikeouts.

I'm losing in every category, but I'm only one or two behind in each one. It's pretty annoying. I need a huge day today to jump ahead, and then another tomorrow to finish it off.

I managed to collapse on Saturday and Sunday for about the 5th week in a row. Just incredible, it's basically the staple of my team.

I might even end up losing this matchup.

Is there a reason Drew Stubbs made it all the way to me on waivers? I out in a claim for giggles but never expected him to be there.

Page 4, really? :stare:

My entire offense is taking the day off. 5 of my starters and my one bench hitter are not playing today. At least I am playing GStaff. :P

My outfield just can't get healthy. Gardner had another setback and is out until the All Star break, Cespedes hurt his hamstring, Cruz has an Achilles problem and Stubbs hurt his oblique the first day I owned him.

I saw that actually, thank god you got him instead of me. :P

I had all the injury problems you had, but now my team is starting to get healthy (knock on wood!!!) and playing great (knock on wood!!!), even on Saturday and Sunday!

Unfortunately this week, unless the Giants explode for some runs very very soon, I'm not going to complete the sweep. Still, 9-0-1 looks real good.

Well, it would appear that the Vivec League's historical Dominance continues. All of our active teams are above .500.

Indeed, no wonder he was drafted very early in every draft and is not available.

Oh my God, Gonzalez is absolutely killing me. The only thing keeping me from dropping his ass is the fact that I know he'll rebound...but seriously, I thought he would have done so already. His extended slide is really getting disconcerting for the season.
