Personally I dont seekrealism in the death animation in a game with dragons, magic and a character who can carry 1000 kg of stuff and sprint. For me is just for the fun.
I see this argument every day, and its a ridiculous one. Can't you see the difference in your flawed logic?
Realism in the small things are unrelated to realism in the big things like dragons and magic. You're as good as saying, since there's dragons and magic in the game there should be no magic casting animations because that's also unrealistic. See what i mean? Completely irrelevant. Chalk and cheese.
Death animations are grounded in reality, its what makes a game feel consistent and polished.
Dragons, magic etc are gameplay mechanics, they are there to improve the game in a different way. Realism within an fantasy world. You cannot compare them you daft child.
