OMG Serria adventure games have always been the king of ways to die, my favorites are Leisure Suit Larry, Quest for Glory, Space Quest and Kings Quest series are some of the funniest death scenes ever lol.

Killing the Overseer in Fallout 1.

He was such a nosy/bossy [censored]. That's why it was especially enjoyable.

Edit: oh I thought you were talking about the Overseer in Fallout 3. I dont remember much from Fallout 1, except killing children.

When I played Dead Space a few years ago, I didn't die often. I usually killed the enemies before they got the chance to do this:

Dead Space is rated 18+. The video contain gruesome imagery and last-boss spolier!

My favorite scene is the first one, where you actually get turned into a zombie. I hate how in other games, like Resident Evil, you just die. You should become a zombie like everyone else

What games have the best player-death animations in your opinion?

Appendage should have been #1. I've never played Dead Space but those death animations left me very creeped out.

I was yelling at my phone especially watching, Appendage. "Oh, God. Why would he just let that thing jump on him?! Oh, oh, oh it just took his head off!"

I don't know if I'd every play Dead Space now. Too creepy. I liked the video though.

I loved running around in "Unreal Tournament" and blasting people to giblets.

As for individual death animations "Velvet Assassin" was pretty good but if you prefer OTT then "Splatterhouse" was pretty funny when you'd punch the monkey boss in his anus and pull him inside out.

I remember watching a GI Replay of that not too long ago. I honestly find the cartoonish death animations more unsettling than gory ones.
