The Dawnguard Are Evil!

Post » Sun Nov 18, 2012 2:08 am

According to the article, Dawnguard centers on an ancient group of vampires led by someone called Harkon, who wants to use the power of an Elder Scroll to blot out the sun.

The Dawnguard are Attempting to Save the World from a Vampiric Appocolypse. It may Sound Fishy to some... though vampires have always had an aluring Supernatural apeal.

Dawnguard as Evil? Not If you like sunshine... Don't like sunshine? Then Vampires are not evil.
Its way more complex then that, I love how bethesda choose to do the factions like the civil war, morally grey, both having pros and cons. Even Harkon has positive traits.

Because I find it amusing how vampires are labeled evil because they kill and feed on people when the Dawnguard are the ultimate heroes because they torture blood-svcking creatures.

Just as the mortals were doomed to be at the bottom of the food chain. Funny thing, eh?

Don't see how mortals are on the bottom. Last time I checked it was vampires who had to live in dark, dank caves surrounded by squaller. While the "lesser" mortals ruled the world.

Vamps need to do the world a favor, and turn to ash. Plus last time I checked vampires had a crap ton of weaknesses to exploit.

Fire, any mage can handle them. Sunlight? Apparently the Dawnguard have spells to simulate that as well. Silver, there's a whole mine of the stuff in Markarth.

Vampires are nothing.

Sig maybe? And people should know where its from.
Love your signature! Lestat for the win!

Not all vampires are evil, and I wouldn't say vampires are evil in the first place, just because they feed on mortals doesn't make you evil. Bears and Sabre cats attack mortals, does that make them evil?

Well considering alot of Daedric cults practice sacrificial rituals, or do horrible things to people.

Boethia cult, Molag Bal cult, Namira cult, Mehrunes Dagon cult, etc.

I can see why the Vigilant would feel the need to get involved.

Yeah, some of them do. But even if you dont practice acts like that, and the Vigilant come knocking, youre done. Being murdered for what you choose to worship doesnt mean the Vigilant are good guys either.

I've never seen them do anything bad. They kill rabid atronachs, vampires, and investigate potentially dangerous Daedric areas. For example Molag Bals lair.

They are never shown to do anything bad but their motto is "We kill you if you worship Daedra" which means they will hunt you down if you worship ANY daedra. For instance, you could be a simple Azura worshipper and they would kill you for simply worshipping a daedra and much as they would kill the most fanatical Mehrunes Dagon worshipper. As for the Molag one, the Vigilant wanted you to help him find Daedra worship and likely KILL them. Imagine if it wasn't Molag but instead a shrine to Meridia and the Vigilant wanted to kill the worshippers simply for worshipping Meridia. Would you consider them good then?

Yeah, vampires are so "nothing" that the Dawnguard had to reform their organization to take on a great menace. And last time I checked, people don't eat vampires. Last time I checked, people age. Vampires do not. They have the blood of a Daedric Prince..mortals have what?

Would you consider them good then?

Nah. Just dedicated.

And last time I checked, people don't eat vampires. Last time I checked,

Followers of Namira do. Last time I checked they just love the taste of dead flesh.

people age. Vampires do not.

Yup, they don't age. And that has their drawbacks as well. Remember Babette? Also being a vampire pretty much guarantees a painful death.

They have the blood of a Daedric Prince..mortals have what?

Well Mortals have the ability to reincarnate upon death which is a form of immortality. While the Vampires get to be tortured, and rap3d by Molag Bal for eternity.

You guys are so lucky!
