Indeed. CE2 and Crysis/Crysis Warhead do nott support DX11.

However, in the IGN E3 interview with Nathan Camarillo he hinted that the might be DX11 support in CE3 and Crysis 2. I believe his exact words were something like "I can't talk about that, but we at Crytek are always pushing the limits of gaming so... draw your own conclusions."
So DX11 is very possible.
And for crying out loud... Don't use Nvidia for high performance gaming...

Nvidia was just the gpu some of use were using. Were entitled to our own choices.

I'm confused as to the point you're trying to make.

I can't say for sure, but I'm thinking that its gonna be DX10/DX 9, Crytek managed to squeeze alot out of these preexisting technologies and i dont THINK DX 11 offers anything significant to them besides tesselation. Then when you think about it, CryEngine 2 looked pretty realistic even without tesselation, so i doubt they'll be needing it.
But hey thats all just speculation, it could still very well be DX11

Crysis is beautiful yes, but when you look close it lacs details. Personally I have moments in Crysis now when I think "this is awful". Just look at the ground, its just awful.

It's still better than most other games

However, in the desire for prettier games, every game needs tessellation indeed.

I want beautiful games! So I want DX11 with tesselation!
(What I really want is Ray-tracing and voxel graphics....)

amd are nvidia aren't better or worse as a company overall. Nvidia is more underhand, sneaky and bullish while AMD tend to be quieter, but it doesn't matter.

What does matter is what products are better, and at the moment AMD are generally ahead in 95% of the price range.

I would want to see crysis 2 in DX11. No matter how small the difference, better IS better.

crytek is working with nvidia=will scale better with nvidia hardware
and you can bet itll be built on atleast 480s if not 580s
if crysis1+every object had tesslation itll be like back in 07 when 3 8800 got 20fps in very high
but now itll be more like 3 580s get 20fps
so everyone cross your fingers for the best
