And you see fall out of a person purse/pocket, what do you do?

This morning I was walking to the bus stop with my fellow students and saw this girl with her brother drop five bucks on the floor, now I could of kept it and save it for a game I wanted to get; but my heart did a little ping I just felt like it was the right thing to do and call out to her and gave it back(curse you heart why can't I be renegade!?) So what would you guys do?

I usually give the money to the person that drops it.

er... i would call out

i mean it's a fiver. that might be their busfare or something. it's not worth the happiness it'd bring you (extremely small) compared to the unhappiness it'd cause them when they see they lost it.

as for the 'terrible woman' 'rude man' don't really get it.... 50% chance he'd hit me for telling him he dropped some money.......................... overexaggeration, considering its a fiver especially -.- plus how you'd know that they were 'terrible' i dont know, and how you'd anolyse they might hit you the same.

a guy left his wallet on the bus once. i ran to the front of the bus to get it back to him just before he got off. im a good samaritan

Of course I'd return those five bucks. Unless it was Donald Trump, I don't like him and his stupid combover.

For everyone I would give the cash back except for this Trump fellow.

Funny story about this, I was about 11 years old in the mall with my mom and cousin. We were walking to the exit when man infront of us dropped his wallet. I ran up to grab it and give it back to the guy who dropped it.

The man turns around and looks at me, I hold out the wallet and tell him its his. He just gave me this weird look and went into the 18+ restaurant. I let the wallet drop and when I looked back to see if he had went back for it some hoodlums had taken the wallet and were throwing it about.

I dont know why he didn't say anything or even acknowledge me.

If I see the money drop, I tell the person if not pick it up and hand it back to them. It's the only right thing to do.

If I see money on the ground, and no one is around, then it's mine. Unless it's in a deposit bag or something that tells me it could belong to a specific person, then it gets returned.

Donald Trump? I would reach into his pocket to pull the money out so it lands on the floor, then step on it until he walks away.

I'd give it back in all cases. In the case of Trump I might take the opportunity to call him an arrogant blow-hard depending on what kind of mood I'm in...not that he would care.

To me it was a sign that the man didn't care and was definitely rude so it was of nothing to me.

If I see or know whoever dropped it, I'll return it. If I find it on the street with no one around, I'll keep it.

Give it back everytime. *swears* It's not out of morality, it's just engineered by my education. Just the same thing that makes me apologize to people who bump into me, and occasionaly, to furniture.

Well, maniacal laugh to Donald Trump though. I mean, he's orange.

It's probable he didn't hear you. I doubt he didn't care about his wallet.

And if he was intentionally rude by ignoring you saying something (which I don't really get how you got to that conclusion but let's go with it..), the only way you could've made him regret that and maybe become a better person for it was if you had shown him he had dropped his wallet. It's not like he'll have actually heard you say 'you dropped your wallet' and just thought 'dumb kid, let's ignore him' will he?

So instead he'll have probably lost a lot of cash, had a dinner and then realised he couldn't pay for it, and then cancel every credit or debit card before them hooligans bled them dry online.

I'm not lucky enough for people to drop money right in front of me, but I would tell them.

etc.

Yeah, that, pretty much. I like to think I'm pretty honest, even in the face of potential provocation, but there's just something about ol' gourami lips there.

I stated keep the money for every option.. It depends entirely on the situation at hand.. If I do not know this person and the person abandons it after dropping it, then its fair game..

Certainly in my eyes it would be, $5 is like £3.10; personally I'd consider my honour worth more than a two-litre bottle of coke and Feast ice cream.
