The Footlocker at the End

Post » Fri May 27, 2011 9:29 pm

I was recently stumbling into spoilers on the wikia and here (probably going into the spoiler section was a bad idea) and I heard about a footlocker that you can loot at the end. It has things like outfits of important NPCs to get and some weapons like a unique poisoned Power Fist. Are the Sorrows and the Dead Horse Tribe outfits in there? Because I am planning on evacuating Zion for my "canon" ending, and it would svck to lose perfectly good outfits. On a side note, what is in there besides the outfits. Can anyone care to answer these questions for me? There are cookies involved... :cookie:

It has everything except the individual outfits of each tribe. They'll be plenty of White Legs to pick up tribal uniforms off of though, have no fear.
I, for one, am glad it was a surprise! It rocked my world!

Wait, so I have to kill a Dead Horse and a Sorrows tribe member so I can get their outfits? :sadvaultboy:

Or you can just stand by and let the white legs murder them. That's what I did.

Oh, I didn't think of that. Thanks for the tip. :chaos:

I personally didn't really notice any aesthetic difference between the tribes clothes. There are, however, multiple types of tribal garb that the White Legs use.

True, but I'm a hoarder. I have a dresser at the Lucky 38 just filled with tons of clothes, some with as little difference as being a "Brotherhood T51-b Power Armor" as opposed to a "T51-b Power Armor". Never used either one.

I like it, but I think it's little out-of-place.

Same here. In this case I was just worried about running out of room for the trip back for that exact reason, and figured if I only got one and left room for some other goodies, then I was getting the better end of the deal.

The chest contains:
Spoiler
the unique items worn by Salt-In-Wounds, Follows-Chalk, Joshua, and Daniel, along with a holy text called 'scripture', if you don't already possess them.

To elaborate:
Spoiler

Salt-In-Wound's head piece, Follows-Chalks hat, Joshua's armour (no bandages), Daniels hat and outfit. Plus the useless(?) Scripture which I presume is a bible.

Since you can return to the DLC after finishing it, can't you just stuff items you want into a container somewhere, return to the Mojave, dump it into your "house" there, and go back to the DLC to grab the stuff? Or does that not work/do items in containers disappear each time you leave the DLC. I'm not sure, since I'm on PC and cheat my weight limit by 3x or so (yes I know, how terrible of me). :P

That should work.

To be sure, one could grab as many of the items in the trunk as one can carry, move them to another container, then start the transfer process. Should not be necessary though, since all containers in HH do not reset with the possible exception of a one-off for trash cans.

The locker is there as a gift from Daniel, Follows Chalk and Graham for aiding Zion. If you chose the "Chaos" path by killing everyone, no footlocker, you have to kill for the items. The devs did it so us peaceful types don't have to spend hours reverse pickpocketing power armor, ballistic fists and AMRs to get the stuff,

So, its just the armor/clothing in the chest? You don't get the weapons?

not like it matter 'that' much, I'm an expert reverse pickpocketer!

Big Boomer, La Longue Carabine and Figaro are all mine with zero violence/fatalities!

Graham's unique .45 pistol and Salt-In-Wound's unique powerfist

What's the unique war club? Follow-Chalk's war club? He's a companion, you can't obtain special companion weapons except for using console commands can you?
IMO a normal war club with the two mods attached looks cooler than Follow-Chalk's anyway...

Oh? I didn't consider that aspect. I'll admit I thought the chest thing was a bit cheesy, but that explanation would make sense. I personally don't generally run around killing for gear + I don't reverse pickpocket much, so yeah, I guess I wouldn't have gotten most of those items without the chest until later plays, where I will sometimes get "mean." ;D So thanks devs, nice gift.

Far as I could tell, Chalky's club is just the normal club with the casings mod on it. It didn't look any different to me.
Edit: oh, nvm...you mean the white line design on it. It's a bit different yeah. If you're on PC you could mod it in but ...
