The game that made you cried

I didn't cry, but the ending to RDR made me a little sad.

Well i teared up a bit when i was 13. Final Fantasy 10. Near the end. You could see it coming but it still made you sad. Well for most people. Back then I was right in Final Fantasy's main target demographic.

God of War. When you are in the elysium fields. I think it was one ofthe portable games.

Lost Oddysey had some moments as well. Those text snippets from Kaim's mercenary life for example.

I've also remembered Crisis Core. Well, no bawling my eyes out or anything, but sniffles, for sure.

Oh you know that was funny. I don't think I ever laughed so hard to one of my own posts!

Anyway, as dumb as some might think this is, both Modern Warfare 2 and 3s endings were kind of emotional. They didn't make me cry or anything but they were so well done dramatically that they've stuck with me.

Skyrim.

Yes, Alduin had a perfectly valid reason for doing what he did, and then that [censored] dovahkiin goes and kills him :stare: What a tragical villain.

Meanwhile, in the real world, lolwut?

On topic, none so far, but that one scene in Final Fantasy 7 came closest

I can't think of a single game I have played throughout my whole life that has made me cry, or even shed a tear. I guess I am just emotionless.

There is this really sad moment in Zelda: Twilight Princess, but it is very subtle. You have to realize what is going on before it hits you.

So you're in the Lost Woods, searching for the Master Sword (or maybe you already have it and are now trying to get to the sixth dungeon.) It seems pretty casual and all. A very fun and interesting part of the game... but you can't help but feel as if something about the area is familiar. Is it the music? That is definetly the Lost Woods soundtrack from Ocarina of Time, just remixed.

But then you take a glance toward the architecture. Hyrulian Architecture always looks similiar in the games, but it isn't just the cultural look of the ruins you are standing in... it's the way that everything is laid out. The positions of some walls and stairs.

Then it hits you.

You're in what was once Castle Town from Ocarina of Time.

Also: Jak 3. That is self explanatory.

When Jak finds out Damos is his father, then he dies? That wasn't sad to me for some reason, I thought it was cool because Jak almost went Dark Jak made [censored] get real.

Me niether so I'm just mentioning games that really invoked feeling. For example the drama at the end of Modern Warfare 2 and 3. It wasn't sad but both were done so amazingly that both endings have really stuck with.

I got one!!!!!! In Batman Arkham City when you go to the place where Bruce's parents died, and you pay your respects, that part made me get a little emotional. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JZDGImabSq8 started playing it made think of our dog that died a couple months before.

I'm talking more about the state of the city. When you played Jak 2 for hours upon hours, just screwing around the city, then suddenly saw it in that condition... damnnnnn.

Course. That effect only lasted on me for a few minutes before I went, "THIS IS SO FREAKING COOOOOL!"

And god dammit why did you have to mention Arkham City? Whenever someone brings that game up, I can't stop myself from going on a playthrough of the game.

Well... see you guys in two/three hours.

Oh, I thought you were talking about his dad.

Sorry, it is the only thing in a videogame that has made me emotional.

Two games have made me cry off the top of my head.

The first one was Gears of War 2. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZAuz7HeiOFE It built up to the moment very well. And then we he turns to Dom and says, "I dont know what to do..I dont know what to do man.."

The second one was Mass Effect 3. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ekbg28ViB-8 I feel like having the opportunity to play as a hero who helps in situations as small as the dangers of prenatal drugs all the way to the extinction of a whole galaxy is amazing. And to watch Shepard disintegrate at the end almost feels cathartic.
