The game that made you cried

Post » Tue Oct 09, 2012 5:06 pm

Has there ever been a game you felt so attached to by emotion that seeing something so tragic or great can make even greatest of people shed a tear or cry like baby?

For me it was kingdom hearts 2. The reason why is simple, there just so much emotion philosphical meaning in the game that I actually shed a tear at the very last cinematic scene because of the bonding and terrific speeches given about hearts. Now I was very young at that time when I played it, but everytime I think of it I feel a lot of emotion running through my heart, which for me is very rare thing in my life so far.

I assume you meant "...game that made you cry" and not "cried", right?

Anyway, the end of Gears of War 3 got me kinda emotional.

When I was in fifth grade, the ending to Pokemon Mystery Dungeon was pretty damn sad.

...That is, til they did that little thing at the end. When that happened, I just threw my GBA onto the other side of the bed and sat there for a few moments.

...I miss that GBA.

Final Fantasy Type 0. If you're seen the ending, then you know why.

And Persona 3. Because also, if you know how it ends, then you know why.

So much this. I have never felt such a surge of emotion from playing a video game as when Kimi no Kioku played with the ending credits at the end of the game. It's all just so beautiful.

Lol at how you worded that!

I agree though. The way dad died in Fallout was pretty sad.

Several games done that to me, especially the Suikoden series comes to mind. Very awesome emotional games. Suikoden 1, 2 and 5 are among the greatest games ever made as far as I'm concerned. And Suikoden 2 is slightly better than the other two.

I'm not gonna spoil some of the more powerful moments in the games, but even the http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7WLyjRex0ac is quite emotional! (and I so love that song!)

Idk about "crying like a little baby" but anyways...

A scene in "Legend of Spyro: Dawn of the Dragon".

Halo Reach.

Etc.

It felt kind of more senseless than sad to me. I remember feeling pissed off more than anything.

The anger formed into sadness. It was the stupid "twist" at the ending that made me sad, not the ending itself. A great game was almost ruined by it's dumb ending. That was enough to make my sad games list. :shakehead:

Skyrim.
This is one of those moments where I swear you are just messing around and joking by putting Skyrim. We know you like it, and you answer everything with something Skyrim related. You are an enigma to me, and I must solve you.

On topic: I can't think of a game that made me cry, I'll get back to you on that one.
