Oh wow, had no idea the trailer was out yet. Extremely excited. :) Hearing Gollum at the end gave me chills. ^_^

OH MY GOD OH MY GOD OH MY GOD!!!

Thissssssss. I'm more exited for this film than I think I have been for anything else.. ever.. how sad.
I just hope it lives up to the standards set both by the LOTR films and the book, which I always considered to be better than LOTR.
We'll wait and see but the waiting bit wont be easy.

Eeeeekkk!

Thankfully I didn't see Legolas. I heard that Jackson planned on putting him in there, which would have pissed me off, to say the least.
I'm sure he'll have a two minute cameo at the least, hopefully behind Thranduil

and a hedge

I'm pretty sure Orlando Bloom is in the cast, you can look it up.

Edit: I you look at IMDb's full cast for the movie, it has him listed.

I don't remember him being in the book (though it's been years since I read it)
So surely he can only play a very minor part... I hope...

Can't wait to see the Riddles In The Dark scene, it was my favourite part of the book.

Maybe Legolas isn't either. I suspect Peter Jackson is saving him for the Battle of Five Armies, where he can kill Smaug with six arrows through the throat, fired in a single shot while skateboarding on a shield over a wave of dying orcs.

Haha, man that was the only thing that bugged me in LoTR. I thought Legolas was a great character an his lines were great, but his contest was gimli was so cheesy and out of place.

Strange, it was things like that which gave those films that little bit extra. It's obviously never going to be easy to insert humour into such an epic film but I think both Gimli and Legolas did it really rather well. ^_^

Im mixed. Some of that stuff just didnt look right Now I have read the hobbit some time ago. May need to brush up. But what the hell Gandalf and Galadriel, I havent read about that. It sounds like a fanfic someone wrote.

I feel like watching the films again. Wonder if there is a dvd set I can buy.
