The kindest thing you have done this year?

Post » Mon May 14, 2012 4:46 am

this is probably a stupid thread but anyway.. im not spamming intentionaly

whats the kindest thing you have done this year for a person or an animal?

i saved a Bee from drowning in my pool today. its was on the surface of the water and was clearly drowning :( so i cupped my hands and quickly threw it out of the water in case it stung me. i dont know where it landed so it might have gotten a headache. bless his little cotton socks... another one: a random cat came up to me when i was having a smoke on my doorstep. i gave it some tuna and let it in my house to sit on the couch and watch TV with me. thats about the kindest things i have done this year. as for people... i rarely see them. so apart from stuffing random vegetables in my neighbor's letterbox twice a month, i have nothing on humans

A kid at my school was having a real hard time, his father in the hospital and his mother barely making enough to pay the bills.

He found himself without any money to spend, so I used all my extra money to buy him and his brother lunch.

Stopped a school bully that was bulling at least 5 people.

EDIT: Violence was the only situation that would have worked in that situation. I'm still getting respect from that fight and it was a month ago,

Well one of the kinder and dumber things I have done this year I did drunk. I gave an old asian man who was a bathroom attendant at this club I was in $100 that I really could not afford to give because I felt like he was a "Master of his craft." The guy only offered me a towel to dry my hands... :shakehead:

I am too generous period, but way too much when drunk. :wallbash:

Not counting drinking escapades I worked in tangent with one of my friends and flew to another island to make sure my other friend back home had some of his old friends with him on his birthday. He is feeling down and kind of trapped because he has a kid with a nearly insufferably insecure and controlling women who really has no reason to be insecure with my friend. So we pooled our money and visited him. We got him wasted and he loved it. He had no idea we were coming. He was like :woot: !!

I also bought my gf a Wii for christmas...I dunno if that is kind though because I knew she wanted it but I really wanted to play Skyward Sword as well. Ha!

As for animals...other than taking good care of my dog I think the kindest thing I did for animals was swerving out of my way to avoid killing a clan of chickens in my truck over the summer.

I took in a stray cat last year. I know it misses the start date of the topic, but I really haven't done anything that kind this year.

OOC for a moment. Lets see... I donated a good percentage of my money to a direct charity, a donate two new toys, I babysat for a friend, I drove a woman 15 miles into town the opposite direction to where I was headed when her car broke down, I make it my goal to bring a smile to at least one stranger's face a day... I don't know, I personally envy the evil. Being good is boringly easy. Not sure why all you gamers play good characters in your damn games when evil is far more fun and perhaps more flavorful. I would rather hear a "**** YOU!!!" than a "God bless, you" because thats when things get all political.

Gave $25 to a charity that supplies kids with cancer playmates and toys.

Sort of early in the year for this.

2 or 3 months ago, I found like 15-20 bucks in my work's parking lot. I took it in and found who dropped it. She was very thankful.

Gave some random person stumbling to make change at the checkout a euro, specifically, I gave it to the cashier girl.
It was not really a selfless act, I did it to get it to be my turn faster.
Ehm.
Does this being the kindest thing in two months mean I am bad? Nah.
It means my avatar fits me.

I love doing kind things.

Lets see, I passed a man who was homeless and hungry and bought him some food from McDs and gave him some money. I lent my car to a fellow at work to go get his keys at his house cause he locked his car keys in his car. For christmas my fiancee and I decided not to get each other anything and bough cloths and toys for a little baby in need. I also gave my cat up to my gram cause her's died and she needed the company and I needed the cat to stop clawing my couch up. Just a few things recently though not explicitly this year. All since Christmas at least.

Like Snore, not this year, but last year in Nov. I adopted two 6 year old cats from the local shelter. Most people want kittens/younger cats, so I save a couple lives, even if they weren't human.

....other than that, well, nothing out of the ordinary. I live in my own little bubble and I figure as long as I don't rage-kill anyone I'm doing pretty well. :D
