I mean that the dialogue isn't going to change for Skyrim.

Again you know this how? People use to say that you would never see new features added in with a patch either... but look at what we got. Truth is there doing a lot more changing with Skyrim that they ever did with the pass games & more than what most other companies are doing.

DLCs are still a possiblity, and making issues with the main game known may yet affect them.

If a Skyrim's DLC improves on the game as much as Shivering Isles did for Oblivion...

So I have Broseph agreeing with me by saying "Obviously..." and Coby thinking they'll revamp dialogue through patches. Lolwut.

The suspension of disbelief has an easy fix -- stop trying to make conversation with everyone. I can't help with the non-chatty NPCs, though.

Clearly as I said you can't READ, I never send revamping the dialogue... I send they need to fix the triggers, it not that difficult. Besides you act like major changes have never happened in patches, if that's the case you haven't played enough games.

It's more common on PC but it does happen...

Depends on the character you're roleplaying.

Helios is much more inquistive.

Rashir is less talkative.

I've honestly never noticed it. The one thing I don't like about the NPCs is that they spurt out their problems as soon as you walk past them. Oblivion was better - they greeted you when you walked past, and spurted out their problems when you engaged in conversation.
Although that said, my character DOES like it when all of the ladies look at him and say 'it's a fine day with YOU around' ;)

Wish there was a dialogue option to find out why the hell Jorlen shouts "By the gods!" whenever I ask if he has swords for sale.

Exactly it's a great way of understanding people and hearing what people think about each other. Civilians can give hints of treasure, the way the people in Oblivion did and take you to interesting quest. Like the Ghost quest in Oblivion.

The dialogue isn't changing. I don't know what you want? If you want better dialogue in future games, there's a wishlist thread for future TES.

We all know the dialogue isn't changing, thanks for the help Captain Obvious, we don't want to type in a wishlist bethesda probably won't read, we are having an exchange of opinions on how the dialogue was in other games and how it should be in skyrim. You really have nothing of value to add to this conversation, maybe you should give an opinion of how you feel about skyrims dialogue instead?-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------All the conversations in skyrim are so one sided, you ask a 5 word question then the NPC gives you a one or two sentence answer, You never realy give any NPCs your opinion. Something I enjoyed about new vegas was situations where you could tell an NPC what you thought and they would react acordingly. I also miss the long dialogues you got from important characters like Caesar and Mr. House VS. general tulius and ulfrics dialogue which really isn't much. The longest conversations are from daedric princes who don't have anything truly new to say anyway

NPCs want to talk to me no matter what. They are littered everywhere so when I want to do business in a town, I still keep my business but people keep talking about useless stuff to me.

It was always nice to add in your opinions into a conversation. That made your characetr seem more alive.

I guess the fix is easy for Rashir and not so easy for Helios. Darn.

I suggested the fix (or workaround) for the suspension of disbelief only for situations where the belief is broken because an NPC can't be engaged in conversation. I don't mind that dialogue isn't available for many NPCs, but I want a programming fix for a lot of that repetitive stuff.

I also liked fallout new vegas, it still holds the record for most lines of dialog in a single player action rpg. I feel that skyrim has its merit to, for main stream players it is more swallow-able and it expanded the audience of TES however it does leave quite a bit to be desired for heavy rp players, this is sad, but you cant please everyone.
