The main complaints I have for this port on ps3, please fix

Post » Fri Nov 16, 2012 1:16 am

Add to the list:

- plasma gun lighting on the gun and on the environment
- zoom fuction
- full screen in doom 1&2, wide screen in doom1&2
- higher framerate on doom 1&2 would be nice
- fov (field of view) should be changed to 90, it is a corridor shooter, low fov makes it harder and just looks bad and pisses me off !

Agreed with all of these.

Here's my video of reasons why BFG Edition looks worse than the xbox 1 and PC version is some ways, since they are shutting down my other topic.

It would be perfectly fine with me if ID and BETHESDA told that it is going to be a downgrade edition as to "sacrifice" effects to make it 60fps. But they told "REMASTERED", that it is running very fast on the ps3 (they forgot about screen tearing coz the game drops frames so often !). Anybody who thinks that we pissed off fans are nit-picing should watch the promotional interviews and so on, and then shut up.

ps. good showcase with the old xbox decayedmatter !

I thought the XB360 and PS3 can handle stuff like this, seeing they don't have much issue running the latest Call of Duty games without a hitch...why this "Remaster" ?

Other problems with Doom 1 and Doom 2 versions.

- The lack of an option in multiplayer to see who all is in the game and what their score is.
- Lack of an option to change the your controller sensetivitiy
- The menus are slow, unresponsive and the desicion to use a a custom font as opposed to the classic Doom font is questionable.

Is it just me, or do the sounds occuring in front of you seem reversed with sounds that are behind you (in Classic Doom)?

Don't get me wrong, though. There are little things that could use fixing, but I'm still loving the hell out of this game :)

I agree with your points decayed. And no it just isn't you. Although I am happy they re released this game, good god they needed a game tester. They should have hired us! I pray to GOD that Doom 4 has game testers. ID I am for hire!
