My biggest disappointment right now is the removal of underwater combat.

I agree. As soon as I looted gold for the first time, I had to turn off my game and put it back in the box. Im trading it back to gamestop tomorrow, this is a complete outrage and everyone at bethesda should be fired.
haha.

Strange, on my 360 I hear the sound of coins being tossed on top of other coins when I pick them up.

My biggest disappointment right now is the removal of underwater combat.

I don't want to clog up this place with extra threads, so.. is there anything you can do about slaughterfish? I've only had them show up on the old enemy radar once I was out of the water, but I have been wondering. Can you just catch then like other fish?

Apart from that, I'd say that not being able to tell whether someone is friendly or not unless I shoot them or make myself visible was pretty frustrating (losing that sneak crit!). I have read quite a few ways around this though, so that's probably just my fault. :)

If I feel I can risk it, I shoot an arrow past them within hearing range to see how they react. If they're friendly, they won't.

Seriously.

Why even put the fishing pole in the game?

To laugh at my inability to use it?

Why must you torture me so...

My gripes are mainly on minor technical issues; haven't found anything in the game that makes me angry. Oh wait...the kids have American accents. I would prefer the children AREN'T ALLOWED TO SPEAK AT ALL! Just kidding. Seriously happy with this game...despite the technical hiccups. To this day, I can get angry thinking about how svcktastic Dragon Age 2 was..I played it once and haven't touched it since. Skyrim has not disappointed..

OP is using an old Soundblaster card. HAHAHA. As for the lack of under water combat, from another poster, I agree. Being struck by slaughterfish, what can you do but run?

Um... graphics. Especially outside. I have PS3 version, just got it today, and after running around a bit my main thought was "Really?" Maybe pc version looks better. Hell, "Demons Souls" looks better and that's already a "Greatest Hit."

The size of the map. They said it was comparable to Cyrodil, but I find this to be a gross over exageration. I believe it is more of the size of Shivering Isles, maybe a little bigger but not much. Oh, and the mountains? They don't make the map size comparable with Cyrodil, not that that necessarily a bad thing, but it's not as big as people say it is.

Oh and the dungeons and caves? Every one I have been in are small. And I mean very small. Run in, look around two or three rooms and wham bam done. In Oblivion I could spend easily an hour in a lot of Aleid ruins and forts and even some caves. The ones here are so so small in comparison.

@ Calender, then apparently you aren't looking in the right places. I've been in several dungeons that took me weeks of game time to go through and I came out several levels higher than I went in. And none of them had anything to do with the main quest or faction quests even.. And the nature of the 3D map makes the land look small. It is, in fact, similar in size to Cyrodiil. It is a fact. Have you tried horseback-riding or walking across the length of it? It takes me a heck of a lot longer to go across the map than it did in Oblivion...

But anyway, @ OP, my biggest disappointment is in the companion followers. They are awful. No personalities and buggy as hell, and they can't ride horses so they end up being accidentally left behind or killed by bears or something...

Agree and disagree. At the beginning, when I was in Bleak something or other, whatever it's called, to get the golden claw, I thought, wow, I've been running around in here for a while and I'm still not through it; nice size for an early dungeon. But I think I get what you're saying; there's nowhere to get "lost". Seems like there's only two pathways, forward or back, and the design leads you, so you're not taking wrong turns or standing there going "where the **** am I?" But I'm new to the game, so that's just my impression since this afternoon.

I remember the good ol' "there's no children at all" threads from Oblivion.. and now we've progressed to "the kids only have one accent." bwahahahha

Biggest disappointment for me is level and enemy scaling made its way back after all the ruckus it caused back in Oblivion.

Sure it's no where near as bad, but why in 5 years time couldn't someone have thought of a better idea on how to handle progression?

THANK YOU! Whenever I made a thread about this people ignored it. :sadvaultboy:

Anyway it seems to only happen once in a cell and then the sound plays normally. It's the same with other items like potions and arrows; they play that miscellaneous pickup sound (the "FRRRP" as you put it, lol) and then if you pick them up their normal sound plays.

It's very frustrating, I like those sounds too an hope Beth fixes it.
