I don't get the game until December and have stayed away from more than a few trailers and some PC gamer coverage to not spoil it but couldn't resist making sure my forum info was current! It's been a long time since Oblivion!

twas the night before skyrim, and all through the night, i wasnt sleeping, my eyes opened tight.
the posters were hung from my wall with care, with depictions of dovahkiin slaying a bear.

thoughts of the battles raced through my head
while visions of dragons flew over my bed
my parents were yelling "shut up! go to sleep!"
while videos of the trailer made my eyes weep.

When out of nowhere, my house did caught fire
the walls were collapsing, as sweat did transpire
i jumped from my window, and did so with haste
the trees were there burning, the land was laid waste

The skies, they were burning out up in the cloud
A monster flew down, though wrapped in a shroud
I raised up my head, and what did appear?
Twas a dragon! a dragon! his presents spelled fear.

The dragon was crafty, ferioucious, and quick
His smoke was a pestolince that made me quite sick
more rapid than eagles his claws at me came
twas then when he roared all his frightning acclaim

"o hero, out there in my burning field
what buisness have you with the great dragon Mielde?"
"o great dragon Mielde, these fields are my home
you have no right, here in my presence to roam!"

I charged at him, armed only with a stick
my movements were stunning, my footsteps were quick!
i swung at his snout with all of my might!
His reply was this: "your kidding, right"

the stick it did break onto his snout
the blow did not faze him, he didn't even pout
then round came his tail, with bonecrushing force
twas a blow to the throat, it made my speech horse

his voices of mocking then did fill the lawn
"ive felt tougher swings come from my mom!"
tis true that my arms wern't exactly so strong
a side effect from playing xbox all day long

My hope was receeding, my head did feel faint
but from my gut i knew. i must remove this foul taint!
from a trash can lid, i did fasten a shield
i knew i need more to make this beast yield!

I could find no weapon, i prayed to the Nords
to craft me a weapon, a mighty great sword
Then out of the sky, a miracle did comence
no longer would i be on defense!

For out of the heavens a pure light behold
a blade did come down, wrapped in fine gold
I grasped the blade with my open hand
"with this i will bring peace unto the land!"

The dragon did witness the heavenly blade
He moved at me quickly, no time to evade!
I then made my move, and sliced at his throat
( i swear, by myself, this poem i did wrote)

I then woke up after battle with shock!
my house was restored, and i looked at the clock.
"hazaah!" i did cry " Skyrim has ascended!"
and at that exact moment, my social life ended.
