The Tank Build

I honestly can't remember what else I put on them. I know it wasn't anything stamina related.
Ah. I always put the same two on the body pieces (Fortify Healing Rate and Fortify Stamina Regen). Probably don't need the Stamina Regen on the chick as she dual-wields daggers, but she's pretty OP so she doesn't need much else. Plus, it allows her to sprint at the enemies while shouting: "Come and face the Forsworn! And stop staring at my boobs!" She wears Forsworn armor. :P

I went with what I am running as this is really my first Elder Scrolls game, and really my first real RPG on the 360, and it really makes the game feel like a hack and slasher, which I am more used to. Quite honestly, at around level 40 it's almost impossibly easy. I have resorted lately to a lot of sneaking and archery, as I wanted to get the skills up, and I have to say that is really a lot of fun for me. I am the first to admit that the tank build I have is a pretty great noob build, as it makes it tough to be killed by anything but magic users, and that stupid frost troll on the 7000 steps when you are only level 4, but, it really does make the game suffer a little when you start maxing skills and become untouchable, I didn't even have to use a potion when facing Alduin, which really surprised me.

I am talking about your basic Falmer. Specifically, I went to the Dwemer ruin underneath Markarth (I always forget how to spell the name of that place). Anyway, right after you kill Nimhe and enter the area containing Falmer, the first one you encounter is on a bridge. And he's as weak-sauce as Falmer come. But that dude killed me three times one on one. I am playing on Master but jeez-looo-eese. Eventually I let Lydia take the lead on it and summoned a flame atronauch. That method took care of them. But that's not what I want from this character. I want this one going toe to toe with no ranged attacks and minimal help.

It could also be that I'm just inexperienced at melee combat because I've NEVER used a style of fighting that hasn't gotten me the first couple of hits without taking damage from bows or Destruction magic.

I also only fight in 1st person. I wonder if fighting in 3rd would give a better overall picture of the situation... nah, I'll stay in first.

According to the strategy guide, certain places are not really survivable until you reach a certain level.... Labyrinthian, for instance, is rated around level 21 I think...

Edit: I can look that up for you if you want...

Sounds like a great build if you ask me, and it might also be a good idea to back it up with a ranged follower.

I especially like the name!!

As long as tanks are being asked about is it viable to not use healing and as is my personel roleplaying style to only use potions when I can actually play the drinking animaton with Directors tools or is my roleplaying quirk too crippling for the build

A pure mage seems relatively easy for me a spellsword even more effective but not a pure non magic using warrior without spamming alchemy. Is there a trick to it? Dragons ( using mighty dragons) seem almost isumountable unless I have some backup and use a hit and run and hide archery style.

I may not completely understand what you're asking, but I drank potions all the time (pause menu - PS3) before I got super armor and enchants. :P

To answer SteamTeck, Yes, that's incredibly viable, and actually the only reason I survived the early levels. After awhile, I stopped needing them though, as my stats and equipment became more than enough. And now that I have my stats I will share them.

Race- Orc

Health- 692
Stamina- 370
Magic- 100

Daedric Battleaxe- 427 Soul Trap 10 seconds/20 Frost/Stamina damage

Daedric Bow- 289 Paralyze 5 seconds/25 Shock/Magicka damage

Daedric Helm- 222 Waterbreathing/40% Archery

Daedric Armor- 459 Health 62/Health Regen 31%

Daedric Boots- 201 Muffle/40% 2 Handed

Daedric Gloves- 201 40% Lockpick/40% 2 Handed

Necklace- Fire Resist 37%/40% 2 Handed

Ring- Frost Resist 37%/40% 2 Handed

This has been my equipment since I hit 100% on enchanting and was able to add 2 to everything. Obviously some of the skills can be done without if a person isn't up to 100 in enchanting. As I said before I just like having as much of an increase in 2 handed as I can, as it makes fights a lot shorter assuming you can get in close.

No what I'm saying is I only drink potions when my character would actually have time to get out a potion and drink it. Not freeze time and do so. Pretty much not in the middle of combat unless I can run hide for a minute.
I 'm onpC and have a mod that allows me to do a potion drinking animation when I drink them and I self impose thelimit to use the animation when I drink a potion. ( pretty insane no?)
