Serana... I've got Dawnguard quite recently and hasn't had the pleasure to meet her yet, but I've been biased against her for a long time.
Reason: She's apparently a very beautiful vampire woman with a tragic background, and 98% of all male Skyrim players want to marry her. That doesn't bode well.

No need to be biased. I'm female, have absolutely no desire to marry her and I still think she's the best written follower in Skyrim :) At least in the Dawnguard areas where she's scripted to say certain comments etc., because I've been told that in other place she behaves like every other generic follower. I haven't had a chance to confirm it yet.

Yes, Roggi Knot-Beard is the miner in Kynesgrove with a big bar tab. He lives in a tent and is marryable too. Nice guy but I've never taken him out as a follower. That might be interesting for a quest to see how he does. :tes:
Wow... I've wandered through Kynesgrove many times and obviously never paused to give him the time of day. I feel quite guilty about that... how like the now high-and-mighty Dragonborn to forget about the troubles of the common NPC-folk. What with working in a mine, sleeping rough, and spending his wages on drink, it sounds like he's escaped from a Woody Guthrie song.

Come to think of it, for a laugh, I once double-enchanted a pickaxe... I can think of no-one better to swing it... off to Kynesgrove then.

Yes, I've heard so. I hope it's true

Just wondering... as a PS3 owner, and therfore ignorant of all matters DG... it seems everybody who has played the thing seems to end up with Serena as a follower. Do you have to take her along? Personally I'd much prefer a trusty tried-and-true Benor, J'Zargo or Kharjo to some creepy-[censored] goth-chick.
Please feel free to spoil at will, at this stage it seems I'm unlikely to find out otherwise.

My three favorites have always been Argis, Eric and Marcurio. I did play DG and found Serana more of a pain than a good follower. I have not played the other dlcs yet.

I think I would have to go with the group that thinks the dlc followers should have had their own group.

I also think Serana is kind of tiresome. I don't like having to ditch my regular follower to take her around.

My picks are Erandur, Vilkas, Farkas, Aranea and the orcs.

Where is Ria?

Fine, I'll pick anyways.

Aela, J'zargo, Gregor, Marcurio*, Stenvar, and Mjoll the Lioness.

* I hate him, but he saved me a lot from Deathlords.

I bet it's gonna go to Serana or Marcurio.
My picks:
Erandur: most interesting
J'zargo: I like the voice
Jenassa: dark elf!
Aranea: dark elf!
Eola: my current follower
Serana: I don't really know; only had her follow for a little bit.
Uthgerd: can hold her own and is only decent one
3: love Jenassa
1: haven't actually used any, except Erandur on the quest

Yeah I took away Ria because she didn't have any votes. If I wouldn't have done it, it would have become a little weird

1. Brelyna Maryon because she seems to be the most pleasant of the three apprentices (as well as the only one I've ever used).
2. Erik the Slayer. I've had more adventures with him than the others, so I picked him. I like the story about how he came to be too.
3. Jenassa. I used her a lot for my Dead is Dead characters as a quick way to get protection from death, and I've liked her ever since.
4. Benor. I like that he's extremely easy to get as a follower (just beat him up and he's yours) and he's not half bad in combat either.
5. Faendal. His fake poem to Camilla made me laugh and being a trainer for archery as well as being one of the first available followers makes me like him.
6. Lydia. She's my first follower, and even though the game just gives her to me, and she's "sworn to carry my burdens", I've warmed up to her as a follower.
7. Valdimar, if only because most of the others on that list aren't really memorable to me. I got the Hjaalmarch manor and Valdimar as a housecarl recently so that's why I picked him.

2 was the easiest to pick from and 5 was the hardest. I was going to pick Kharjo because he's one of the only readily available followers in Dawnstar (sometimes anyways) but Faendal just narrowly beat him out.

He's awesome. And http://24.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_mbyaarudfM1rii1nto1_1280.png. I know some can't stand it. Personally, I love it.

The Fact is I do not recognize most of these followers and this is my 6th start from scratch from an XBox so maybe that has something to do with it and have very little left to discover ANYWHERE...

I can tell from the poll that not enough players have completed Namira's quest.

I've completed it, but I killed her. Don't need friends like that.
