Aye.
Close enough. Anyone willing to write a note or something? So that you can remake this thread in a yearbor so? I would but I hate making threads.

Tough choices because most all of them have their positives. I wanted to vote for Celann but ultimately went with Teldryn Sero. Erik the Slayer is such a gentlemen and a great warrior. I think Marcurio is my all time favorite follower.

I like Frea, too but to be fair I think the Dragonborn followers belong in another poll, too.

Serana has already won, looking at the voting.

I'll pick it up a few weeks after full release if no one else does.

Having scanned the poll results (I can't believe J'Zargo has lost to Serena... by ONE vote!... I demand a recount) I'm most struck by the half-dozen characters who've gotten no votes at all... for instance, who on earth is "Roggi Knot-Beard": is he some kind of hermit no-one has ever run in to (I certainly haven't, even after 400+ plus hours of gaming), or is he just such a surpassingly crappy follower that nobody likes him. In a similar vein, I wonder how "Ugor" (whoever the hell he may be) feels about being so less popular than a stray dog?

I don't know what it was an hour ago when you posted this but he's losing by ten now.

I can't believe J'zargo (who svcks IMO) has as many votes as Marcurio...

And speaking of the DB followers: What's interesting with Serana leading the poll is that not everyone has DG.

I state my reasons why i chose the options in the poll:

Group 1: Cicero. Cmon man, someone lied! Someone told the guards poor cicero is....A LADY. And all those stab stab stab comments....
Group 2: Jzargo. Why? Vanilla skyrim he is the most badass mage ever. Plus he levels to 89(or 81?)
group 3: Jenessa. Why? In vanilla skyrim, she is one of the few who do not stumble into goddam traps! Farkas is great but i stay clear of the companions due to me not able to cure werewolf completely(days as werewolf still counts even if u cure it. Guards still comment about your werewolf appearance)
group 4: marcurio. He may be annoying but he is still the best out of this group. Hardest group to choose any way.
group 5: Meeko :)
group 6: It is common sense....
gruop 7: Vilka. I like his style.

Might be because he's in a weak group. I don't like him either, but I never travelled with Erik the Slayer and the rest IMO is less useful than J'Zargo (who happens to level up with the player all the way to 81, so that's another advantage).

Levelling up to 81 is no good if he keeps using those low-level spells. If you're on PC, you can solve that, of course, but then you can also take the level cap of any follower... *shrug* Personally, I've never levelled over 50, so... My current character is lvl 47, travelling with Marcurio (who caps at 40), and to be honest - he might very well kick her butt if they were to fight each other. He would at least put up a very good fight!

Poor Roggi, he's the guy in that little mining town outside Windhelm, sends you for his family shield IIRC

Yes, Roggi Knot-Beard is the miner in Kynesgrove with a big bar tab. He lives in a tent and is marryable too. Nice guy but I've never taken him out as a follower. That might be interesting for a quest to see how he does. :tes:

Well, I never levelled past 50 either, but I think if not his spells, then at least his health and magicka pool might be useful. Or not.
Alright, I checked UESP and it turns out that Marcurio has much more magicka than J'Zargo when their levels are equal. I'm not surprised, I've always known he's the best mage follower in the game, but people seem to love J'Zargo for some reason.

Who did you vote for in that group then? Erik?

Definitely. Give the guy a warhammer and he really becomes The Slayer. :D And pluspoints for nice personality and good looks.

I revoted because the DB characters were removed. My new list:
Erandur
J'zargo
Farkas
Marcurio
Derkeethus
Serana
Rayya

New Easiest-6 I hate Lydia and Mjoll doesn't shut up. Serana didn't really have much competition.

New Hardest-1 With Frea gone, all the others suddenly got a chance. Aela, Erandur, and Cicero are all very well done characters.

Some good choices there! Love Rayya on my Redguards, J'zargo is a beast and Farkas is a cool guy.

Agreed. I like followers based in their personalities or uniqueness over how powerful they are. As far as followers go, Rayya is definitely unique. J'zargo is funny (and a beast), and Farkas like you said, is a cool guy.

I agree. I don't care if they go to level 81 or not, they aren't going to be nearly as effective as you anyway. It's more about roleplaying your character facing things with someone he trusts(or doesn't, depending on how you want to twist it). Farkas wants to be your best friend, and will fight at your back until his death, J'zargo is high on himself and it's been far to long since I traveled with Rayya, I may go do the Falkreath Jarl quest next time I can break from Morrowind.

Eola is by far my favorite follower - she was perfect for my necromancer/assassin character. She sneaks, is ok with a sword, conjures fodder, and casts destruction at range...and she is not to bad in the eyes either ;)
