<----- P.S. Thanks again, Lord Crow. :D

Honestly though it's really not that bad. The more annoying thing is all the porm on the Internet being blocked... I mean... :whistling:

But... Then what the hell is the use of the internet?!

Exactly! Those Thais... :shakehead: Pixellation bothers me more than genitals or bullets, really.

Honestly I can't remember any censoring going on here, but I don't really watch television anymore.

Mind expressing this differently? I don't think I understand.

Because I think differently :P

Our media is censored no matter time. If you swear in the street no one is gonna beep your voice, just awkwardly looked at. That is if you're not white. If you're white everything you do is beautiful.

Thanks for the replies guys, it seems like there's a variety of censoring going around worldwide, but as I see it you all have in common that there is censorship at some part of the day (mostly). It's very interesting reading about how it is in other countries.

I even realised that there are some cases of foul language in norwegian dubbed cartoons  Like for instance I've heard the word "[censored]" mentioned several times, and sentences equivalent of english foul phrases. This is more common in older cartoons that were made 10 years ago etc, the newer ones tend to me more milder when it comes to language. I still find it strange though how censorship is handled in some countries, when here in Norway we rarely hear a *beep* or censoring of any kind. Cursing is normal here and you hear it in pretty much any norwegian TV show you see to some extent.
Censorship in Thailand seems to be a bit random. Seems like swearing can be censored and even just lewd phrases can be censored. Some swear words while watching a movie weren't but that was on HBO. Certain scenes can be cut out entirely. Was watching Family Guy, the episode were Peter and his friends get stranded on a desert island, and they removed the "orgy" scene. They also censored some lewd phrases that episode even though I doubt a Thai would really understand them.

Also, smoking is censored and I think the cigar/cigarette/pipe is also censored when not in use, guns pointed at people clearly and knives threatening and close to a person are censored.
Now that is quite interesting. Thanks for sharing that.

Do you have any sisters/aunts/cousins/grandmothers/nieces that want to marry a white, 20-something, male westerner who shall in the not-too-distant future be a lawyer? I'm just curious... :whistling:

Okay, that was a lie. I want to rack up as many citizenships as I can before I die.

It is a little weird sometimes. One thing that always surprises me is how incredibly emotional Americans can get about the most mundane things, and it often doesn't seem genuine. I thought it was just some funny thing about American sitcoms, but people act like that in reality shows as well. Don't really know how to explain it better. Maybe you'll see it if you watch the Dog Whisperer episodes where Cesar goes to the UK, and compare the people there to those that usually appear on the show. The British people seemed much more similar to the Dutch. They didn't cry or laugh so exuberantly about everything, but they did seem genuine when they did show emotion.

Reality shows are hardly reality, friend. Its all scripted. Plus the people they are filming are rarely emotionally stable. Milking fake emotions=more cash.

Not that I watch reality TV, but sometimes when just switching back and forth, one of those "real housewives from..." is always on. Those shows, those people, are ugly and foul. It's incredible people can watch such crap without gouging their eyes out and jamming screwdrivers into their ears.

Its why I don't watch TV. The target audiences are mostly people who do so little that they have no problems and need to watch other people's unfold, or loopy highschool girls. I watch some of them if they're just such huge train wrecks that it becomes hilarious.

What would be the point in that? Collecting citizenships sounds wrong, imo.

Because if I ever decide I hate a country or want a change of scenery, I can just get on a plane. I already have... 4. I want more. What's wrong with that?

I don't know, for me a citizenship is more than a permanent permit of residency, or at least it should be.

edit: I'm not against holding several citizenships, by the way. I just think they should be meaningful. If that makes any sense.

Ehm, I guess. I think if you move around enough you just tend not to get too attached to places after a while.

Watching other people's problems? The problems those divas have don't even qualify as luxury problems. They nag and moan about the most pettiest things and expect sympathy from all sides. And when they get that, they still nag and moan and behave like their legs were cut off...

Why don't we take all the ugly white people and send them to China? That way everyone will be happy!

Actually it works only in Hong Kong. Other parts of China, they enjoy watching you speak Mandarin tho.

But dosent Thailand have lots of hokers ? Welll I learned something, Soth Korea isnt the onlly place that blocks porm (which svcks even more becuase they have the best intenet).
Still their attitude makes more sense than some places. Gore/violence is fine, but dont you dare show anything sixual or people partially naked.

I would like citizenship in South Korea or Japan. Or any place that has a good standard of living. But without the horrible government, and I assume they are ned free. (God I wish I could use the other word, ned is so stupid).

Shame I dont want to work in an office job, so that will never happen.

Yes. There's a brothel on my street. And when I walk to McDonald's at night (5-6 minutes away) there are hokers everywhere.

But I don't partake in that stuff.

Im not saying you do. Allthough you were quick to say you didnt, guilty consience ? Im kidding.

I just find it odd they ban porm, but have lots of hokers. Then again I also find it odd when countries have so much porm, but no hokers.

Maybe every country has its excesses? Hm, that's a good one--

The NFL... and McDonalds :)

We also have excess debt, need to get rid of that, but that is not allowed here. :)

Im guessing my countries (UK) are six and alcohol.
Seeing everyone wont shut up about
1)How drunk they are going too get
2)How drunk they were/are

And I walk through the streets and see lots of young mothers :/ I would put the latter to just living in a [censored] area, but I think its a problem for most of the UK.

And those 2 reasons are why I want to leave this place. (well they are some of them)
