Makes it look amazing, but chugs the system because it's a resource hog. What it's actually doing? I can't say. A quick google reveals this.
More likely it just bumps up the sample rate for AA and AF. And maybe switches over to a more demanding but better looking implementation of AA.

Already played it three times, and now I'll have a reason to take a break from Skyrim and play one of my favorite series! Shweetness!

My PC couldn't handle this game when it was first released so I'm really excited to own the 360 version. I may just have to pre-order this bad boy. :)

One of the five games I've bought in the past four years. :) Very glad I did. Haven't touched it since my first playthrough; this'll be fun!

My PC just about handles Ultra settings, minus the uber sampling.

It's linear, but it's a really good story driven game, and there are choices and consequences for your actions. Helps that it's based off of a source material.

Awesome, this means there will actually be stuff to do in the final act. The lack of sidequests made the final act rather weak in comparison to the rest of the game, so this ought to bring it up to snuff.

This new extended edition is fixing the end zone. Adding in the underground area and the forest to it. Plus some quests, to be honest this was my ONLY big complaint about it. With that fixed it would easily go in my all time greatest hits. But given how much changes and reacts in the end chapter compared to any modern game I have to cut it some slack for being risky and daring. I'm sure once the Witcher 2 is "complete" it will be a sight to behold. Anyone considering getting it should do so now.

Edit
Yes, Witchers are pretty much as badass as the trailer makes them out to be. Alchemical mutants.

Edit2
If you buy it at good old games you get a ton of stuff to go with it, and all the money goes to the devlopers.

Yes. I haven't finished the second one yet, but the first one is good.

I think I'll wait for this patch and then start playing again.

QTE are only in two times, and it's boss battles. And with the bosses, they range from being 3-10 times your size, and definitely not humanoid.
