is there any evidence that skyrim is breaking peoples PS3's

This scares the [censored] out of me, after 110 hours my game just hit 12mb and is starting to lag within the first hour of gameplay. So I need to back-up my ps3 hdd because Skyrim could blow up my console? Thanks [censored] programmers

I shouldn't publicly complain as Bethesda has warned "snitches get glitches" via that 1.2 patch

While lagging causes definite stress on your system.... just make sure you keep your ps3 cooled and well ventilated..... now if you start freezing up regularly i would definitely suggest stopping skyrim gameplay.

I take it none of you know what the sales of goods act 1979 is :) (you are leagally obliged to get a refund if your ps3 breaks within 5 YEARS)

Anyway .....

In a previous post i discussed a test i did, i backed up my fat ps3 and got a brand new slim out for the test. The LAG went on the slim so wth

I fix consoles and mobile phones for a living and thought hmmm why is it lagging on the fat version so i stripped it down, put new thermal paste on and the lagging has not showed in 3hrs of testing. A lot of the consoles we receive have dried up thermal paste that is over 4 years old and therefore are not cooling correctly hence on big games there is lag.

if im reading this correctly then you experienced the lag even on the slim which would have newer thermal paste a well right? I have gotten the YLOD and had it fixed with new paste and stuff but my game save is too new to notice lag the only thing i was running into was freezing on load screens. i haven't touched the game since the 3rd hard freeze because i really dont want it to YLOD again so soon. even tho i know eventually it will happen.
