LOL I found a way back in Helgen.

Made it to Whiterun. the Guard entered dialog and was able to talk to him. Suxto Beme passed the persuasion and the guard granted me entrance, but you can't interact with anything, or even pull up the menu to level.

No where to go. Man...it sux to be me.

What kind of quest would force a weapon on you?

I don't know, just wishful thinking. Maybe even a quest to use a follower that doesn't need me to start dialogue would work...

Saw Bleak Falls Barrow, while I was heading there I stumbled upon 2 different bandit camps.

Starting to get thirst.

If I don't make it, tell my wife....I love her...

I'm pretty sure there's at least one quest where you are given a weapon, and it automatically equips, so...

Weird, I've found places that I've never been to before.

Pretty cool.

Made it back inside Helgen, but invisible walls keep you from getting to the Keep. Don't know why I was trying that anyway. Only way to get anywhere is to fast travel out. Then it's still no way to do anything. except raise your Sneak skill and die.

I ended up traveling through Marthal, all the way up to Solitude. Started to be able to enter Marthal, then I picked up a quest from a group of Nords in the middle of town and I started running in place. Not much else to report, though Skyrim is still a bit of fun when you're just taking the time to traverse it without any real expectations! I might try finding some vampires next and run around feeding on sleeping bandits, lol.

I see no reason why the true "glitch" (not really a glitch to fast travel, more like a mistake of not disabling fast travel from that location during the tutorial) which is the fast traveling outside the town wouldn't work after you let him unbind your hands. It's a bit like how you could hop your way against the tree and the wall in the back yard of the building in Morrowind you first enter to escape into the land without getting a class or many of the controls.

What I did find is that inside the tutorial area, in the cave just past the bear in the curve of the tunnel, there is a ledge with an old log in it. I believe it has harvestable mushroom on it. You can hop you way up it and if you're patient, you can turn near the top of the first log and hop onto another slightly higher up and hop your way right out of the dungeon space. Kind of like escaping a city's walls without going through a gate or entering the same way. I never found any solid ground on top that led away far enough to avoid falling through void and landing back in the dungeon in the room where you fought the torturer and his assistant. This of course effectively traps you (though I never knew at the time about the fast traveling out option) as the cave in that happens when you cross the bridge after the fight with the imperials blocks off this first part of the dungeon.

Has anyone tried escaping Helgen bound and going in the back way through the cave to Helgen?
