You should see the Thalmor. They're TES equivalent to Nazis. Elven Supremacist's who's ultimate goal is to commit genocide against all the non-elven races.

You're stabbing in the dark here, and missing terribly. Redguard are allowed in Whiterun, they only kicked out the Ali'kir warriors due to the nature of their visit.

Morrowind, if I chose a certain race, i'd get a bunch of crap from all sorts of NPC's wherever I went and they were voiced on what they thought of me. What happened to this sense of immersion in the Oblivion and Skyrim?

Shouldn't my elf be hassled when I go to Windhelm? instead of just being accepted as a true son of skyrim? . . .

Edit: This is mostly about how they react to your character and not the NPC's themselves. Something to show difference in your own personal racial choice.

have you seen Windhelm yet?

Upon entering you'll be bombarded with racial slurs if you're a Dunmer or Argonian. If you're another race they accuse you of being a dark-elf lover in a rather blunt and poignent way

"are you dark elf lover? get out of here you filthy piece of trash, your disgusting ilk is not welcome here."

morrowind was more racist because the elves (as usual) were up on their pedastal, and didnt like anyone but other dunmer running amok on their little island. there was also slavery in morrowind, usually the argonians and khajiit

Most definitely not. Im pretty sure she's just covered in ash from working the forge on a day to day basis, and her father is just a dirty breton if im not mistaken.

UESP calls Adrienne a Redguard, but Proventus an Imperial xD A different wiki (linked above) calls Adrienne an Imperial as well.

There are definitely many other Redguards living in Whiterun, though.

For those who missed it, Hammerfell is no longer part of the empire. Redguards living in the Empire are fine if they are locals who are loyal. The visiting Redguards were not turned away for their race, but because they are loyal to Hammerfell.

My PC is an Altmer, too. I was kinda dissapointed, but I think Beth does this because the PC's main role is always to protect the empire. Plus, in the crazy minds of the thalmor, a non-thalmor Altmer is just as bad as any human. In my opinion, the thalmor are not supposed to represent the majority opinion of all Altmer. My guess is that many within Alinor are quite fearful.

I see the racism all the time. I forget which city, but the first time I got there the first thing I see as I enter is 2 guys calling some other guy all sorts of names and eventually they started to call him a spy because he was of a different race. lol.

Playing a Dunmer here. Pretty much anywhere east of High Hrothgar my character gets harassed to some degree.
