Well considering there is nothing on Eidos' website about the game I'd have to say there isn't much information about it. Probably still in pre-development.

I dunno, I played Thief 1 but wasn't very good at it and so I stopped playing it. My brother on the other hand enjoyed it.

That's a real shame :( hopefully we'll get a date soon. stealing random things in Skyrim just isn't as fun as well being a pure Thief like idk in the Sly Cooper games.

Right now the only thing I can say is that the title 'Thi4f' is just... eww.
And that if it turns out bad or good-but-not-like-Thief I will be very sad

Here's an idea: Don't call it Thi4f.

Silly marketing people...

I'll be keeping a close eye on it. Eidos Montreal did a great job on Deus Ex Human Revolution so I trust them to not do anything too crazy with the franchise. I am expecting a third person cover system, which I won't mind, but I hope we don't get an guaranteed success takedown button.

I would. A cover-based stealth system would be pretty antithetical to what Thief was.
Making light levels the focus, and making staying hidden a necessity should be some of the most basic tenets driving the game. Along with the many different approaches and the stealing stuff bits

I do think light based stealth should be the focus, but if there was the option of third person cover (not every room can be sneaked through via a dark corner) that's okay with me.

If it doesn't have third person cover that's even better, it's just that I'm expecting that Eidos wants to add it since they seemed pretty happy with it in Deus Ex.

Any game that puts the number in the name is destined to be bad. :(

Why the hell did they ruin the title by putting a 4 in there? That stylisation only works when the number looks similar to the letter being replaced. How the heck does a "4" look like an "E"?

I've never played the Thief series, though it's been recommended to me in the past few years, but after Deus Ex: Human Revolution, anything Eidos Montreal touch deserves at least my interest. They've got good programmers suited for proper multiplatform development and they've got good designers, in my opinion, and I respect them and trust them for both.

Don't forget F.3.A.R. I feel dirty just typing it out like that.

I've got my eye on it. They did Deus Ex Human Revolution, which was a serious contender for top spot last year. Unfortunately it's been beaten out and only makes my top five games from last year.

Would that be for F.E.A.R. 7 or F.E.A.R. 34? :spotted owl:

Wip3out was pretty good, though. That said, I'm still going to be pronouncing this as "Thi-four-eff", until it gains my respect.

Yeah, Whip-three-out was good. Driv-three-err was bad. Putting numbers in the middle of names just makes me pronounce them weirdly in my head. I can't help it.

You're not to blame Unconnected One, that really is the name they chose. At least for now
