Thieving Settlers

I keep my stuff in containers behind a short fence in a room, and only I know a way around it . This keeps those thiefs away from my treasures. :D

Always remove fusion cores from PA when storing it. I have not heard reports of settlers taking things out of containers you have built (but I guess anything is possible). Note that containers you did not build may have unknown ownership, so I can't say if anyone nearby might help themselves to the contents.

I had just dropped a bunch of stuff to scrap and a settler just came right up and snagged my bat before I could scrap it. Kinda funny.

I had a BOS steal my power armor to go fight a deathclaw with 2 of his buddies. I had to steal my fusion core back and then console my way into being able to wear my own power armor again. It was amusing.

The AI is more smart isn't that cute.

I killed a Legendary, then a normal enemies take the legendary weapon to fight me, so I loot the legendary weapon from normal enemy instead.

Same with companion, my companion automatically took flamer and fuel in The Castle to help me fight mirelurks.

i havent noticed this yet, as anyone who enters my private quarters is shot on sight. I've had to deal with punk ass settlers always sleeping in my chambers and i just lost it, all the time building and decorating it, so i decided anyone thats not a companion gets a cap to the head. sorry, but i really hate settlers using my [censored] lol

I heard of this glitch right after release. So I built my own lockers and store what isn't junk in them. Food, Aid, armor, weapons, ammo, quest items. The townsfolk will definitely take from the bench. I assume that is the "ours" supply. MY stuff should be seen as red to them as any other npc would be to me (if it isn't in my town).

Or use the one house with big bed in Covenant as your main place, the doors have key, don't give the key to your settler, problem solved.

Give the other houses keys copy to your settlers to let them use it instead.

I also built in Red Rocket. I don't have a problem with thieves, however, despite the fact that Red Rocket currently has no food, no water and six automatic turrets Super Mutants have about a 50 percent chance to spawn every...single...time that I fast travel back to the RR and/or when I repair my power armor. Getting VERY annoying, especially since with the explanation the game gives about defenses and outposts I should almost never have anything spawning, let alone two suiciders wiping out 2-4 turrets every other fast travel.

I actually had Ronnie Shaw steal about 3 or 4 of my unique weapons. I can only interact with her as a settler when a random bug occurs that allows me to trade with her, but the other 99% of the time she just barters with me. I have to wait until this occurs again to get my items out of her inventory, it's pretty frustrating. Any suggestions?
