Writing - and other things that include my imagination

And among other things, Troyatz.

Hmm, it's unfortunate you take joy in negativity, but as long as you're happy.

Speaking of Sake, try taking a shot every time you read something on this forum, you'll be dead in the hour. :P

Is it really negative though, when the majority see it as a positive? I mean, we base all of what we see as good and bad, on what society (the majority) say is so, so what's the difference?

FYI: One thing that makes me happy, is researching Philosophy.

I'd say it's negativity if its sole purpose is to look down on something.

I figure you can divide happiness into two rough categories (extreme simplification incoming):
  • Positivity - Happiness derived from a stimulus you enjoy
  • Negativity - Happiness derived from the derision of a stimulus you don't enjoy
They both fulfill similar social motives, whether the derision is widely socially acceptable or not. Take hipsters for example. They deride popular culture even though it's just that, popular, and they still earn some sense of belonging from it because they surround themselves with a like-minded minority.

*My daughter - greatest thing I've ever created
*My wife - whom I'd be nothing without
*My step-son - can be a pita but he's a good kid

*Coal - yup, beautiful black anthracite rocks that keep me warm in the winter, not to mention it keeps my hard earned money in the USA
*my DS MACHINES DS-1600 Hot Air Circulator stove - 130k BTU/Hr coal burning goodness without this I'd be frozen

*Battlestar Galactica - 1970s - 2009
*Star Wars - all of it
*Invader Zim - "I made it myself!"
*Spongebob Squarepants
*Adventure Time
*Regular Show
*iCarly - say what you want, this show is awesome
*Victorious - again, an excellent show

*Bethesda Softworks - yup, I love your games.

There are a lot more things that make me happy, but I'm tired so I'm going to crash now.
