I think PC buyers should be able to get the game now.

You knew you would have to wait by buying the physical copy instead of preordering from Steam. Nothing has changed.

Actually, I never realized the stores would be closed until a few days ago. And I preordered the day after it was announced. :sadvaultboy:

DLC Something PC players won't have first :P
My Mods >> Any DLC

This is true for the inevitable texture patch five years from now. :)

Guys, please don't turn this into a console war. Even if you don't intend it to start one, one always starts.

Who closes on Veterans day these days?

It has been many many years since I saw regular business shut down for that day of acknowledgment
for Veterans. Federal workers, banks, post office , other government offices, yes.

I'm sure there are some private business's that shut down on case by case but in my recollection
it isn't many.

By the way, one can still acknowledge the sacrifice Veterans have made and still attend work that day.

If your so inclined to care, anyway.

They do close all day 'round here. I respect the sacrifices, but still, it's kind of annoying and unnecessary to close everything.

To me, the game is released at 11/11, I don't really care if some people are playing it illegally or whatever, I know I would get it the 11th, and I'll get it the 11th, no prob

Umm, I'm not whining about how console players get to play the game now at all. I'm saying that PC gamers should get the game so they would be able to preload it now and play it at midnight.

I saw a Pre load somewhere. I believe people have bin doing so.

Yeah, people who pre ordered on Steam. Unfortunately, I pre ordered the retail version. And thus, have to wait 'till the 12th to pick it up. So what I'm saying is, since I can't actually play it until it unlocks on Steam, why not just let me, and everyone else who can't get it on the 11th, just get it now so we can have it and play it on the 11th?

Not to split hairs, but there' s a name for this.... it's called a pre-order. :)
Pre-orders operate quite differently, actually. They don't ask for full payment and give you the game box and installation CD.

Pre-orders operate on a system of downpayments for a reservation. Not on sale.

People cancelling their in-the-mail pre-orders in order to get their manual a day early from their local Best Buy would damage business relationships.

Hmmm. You know, that's actually a good idea for any game that forces you to use Steam.

I would imagine it has something to do with the 11/11/11 release date. I'm not in marketing though so I can't be sure.

Stores selling a game before people can play it would lead to unlimited rage.
Soo what my store. I told my customer's nicely that You can only preload the game, not actually play it already. The store I work in only sells the PC Copies. and console copies at 11/11/11. Shame that most of the other retailers sold the game to early.

Can people please, please just read the OP before commenting?

You must be new here? :lmao:

On topic, i've heard that some stores have sent the keys of Steam games to their customers beforehand for them to able to pre-load the game, haven't found a shop like that myself though.

I'm kinda new here, but I come from Gamefaks, which is far, far worse. So, I dunno why I asked people to do the impossible. xD

Anyway, that would be awesome. I've never found one like that, either, though.

Very funny.

But, in all seriousness, I'm not asking to play the game early. Can people please, please just read the OP before commenting?

In all serious, you can already preload the game RIGHT NOW and play it at midnight on Nov 10, 2011. You have been able to to this since yesterday...
