I think PC buyers should be able to get the game now.

Post » Tue May 08, 2012 1:59 am

They can't play it until Steam let's them, so why not? That way, maybe they can enter the code and preload it. Because of this, I can't even play the game on the 11th because every store around me is closed. :sadvaultboy:

EDIT: Oops, not preload. I mean install it, and then be able to play it at midnight on release.

EDIT II: I want to clarify that I DO NOT mean that I want Steam to unlock it now. I mean that the retail buyers should be able to get the game now, so when the game unlocks on Steam, those of us who cannot pick it up on the 11th, will still be able to play.

Oh look another whine thread about how console people are able to play and PC users are not. Deal with it, wait for 11.11.11.

I got the game preloaded, it doesnt bother me at all.

I thought the preload on Steam started last night - been reading it has. Still, you won't be able to play until Steam unlocks it on 11/11/11.

Umm, I'm not whining about how console players get to play the game now at all. I'm saying that PC gamers should get the game so they would be able to preload it now and play it at midnight.

It would be nice if players could get it early so we could read the manual and install the game.

It did but he wants to pick up a physical copy, and presumably the stores are closed in his area.

Can only say you shoulda ordered and had it delivered, or from Steam itself.

Buy it from Steam and you can pre-load.

Can't get it from Steam. Well, I can, but not for a while. And yeah, I really should have just ordered it.

I think (as a PC buyer) that a release date is a release date.

Deal with it.

It's just a game.

It's just a couple days.

Stores selling a game before people can play it would lead to unlimited rage.

Who closes on Veterans day these days?

It has been many many years since I saw regular business shut down for that day of acknowledgment
for Veterans. Federal workers, banks, post office , other government offices, yes.

I'm sure there are some private business's that shut down on case by case but in my recollection
it isn't many.

By the way, one can still acknowledge the sacrifice Veterans have made and still attend work that day.

If your so inclined to care, anyway.

I don't mean to be rude, but are none of you reading my OP? I don't want it now to play it. I want it now because then, maybe I can install it, and then be able to play it at midnight tomorrow, instead of having to wait 'till the 12th.

No not really. Not unless you bought from a retailer that cheated. Would be nice if they opened it up to early sales so every store (and amazon) could sell a day early.

I do not like it one bit either, it's like a father letting one of hes sons play with a toy he shouldn't have had, but denies it to the other son.

It's a bad anology, I know.
