I think it's a shame...

I hate the T-45d. Simply because of the stupid shoulder plates. They just stick out stupidly. If they actually covered the shoulders instead of looking like stupid atrophied wings I wouldn't have as much of a problem with T-45d.

The "valve handle" on the back may not actually be a ... valve handle. That is, it may not be designed to turn. It could be used as a secure place to hang the armor from a rack, or pick it up with a winch (or another suit of power armor). Or to secure loads to the armor (like dragging a pallet, or a heavy backpack).

PA implies power so it could be a fuel rod containment hatch.

As to which I like more neither, I like metal more in looks and tesla after that in any of the games in the series.

Which looks better to me the T-45 but I like a more archiac look tbh;
I'm still waiting for FO: london with the old redcoat army uniforms lined with brass plates, wires and electrodes for reflective shielding.

If you compare the game covers the T-45 retains that grim brooding menace that they showed on all of them, the T-51b just looks to clean and sleek to me.

Umm slight problem, the Enclave were only introduced with Fallout 2. The only Power Armour in Fallout 1 was the Brotherhood of Steel armour.

Back on topic, the T-51B I presume was designed with looking like a proverbial mobile Steel Kludgie in mind aka whilst wearing it your standard gun equipped foes would/should be thinking along the lines of I can't fight THAT, my bullets will just bounce off it. (of course that hypothesis is based on pre-war thinking, and most post-war human foes in the Mojave would have little or more likely no experience attacking opponents wearing power armour of any type).

God I can't stand the look of this armor. I swapped my armor with Veronica's for a moment, and I loved the new look. Then I run ahead and the -2 AGL causes me to slow down to a crawl. And of course Veronica just looks wrong with that huge suit of armor on. I'll just use this ugly SOB until I unlock Arcade's armor again, or get an agility enhancement.
