Um... I think you forgot the Daedra.

In which case, Daedra should not have existed in Morrowind.

Maabz they just thought we'd be sick of seeing them after Ob?

in morrowind they roamed naturally. in lore, they were placed in-game inside/around mount Knad because they were the love-children of vivec and molag bal (real talk)

From the Illusion perk tree:

Master of the Mind 90 Illusion spells work on undead, daedra and automatons.

And yet people can summon Atronachs just fine and from the looks of things, Sheogorath and Nocturnal show up in person.

So your argument doesn't hold water.

Ummmm Spoiler??? about the daedra lords showing up in person? Come on now

Centaurs!!! :celebration:

If they're not in some modders will probably be able to make them with the skeleton file. :teehee:

Hey, he just made me very happy. I was asking for one of those to have a decent role in the game. That's more than I asked for. Not telling you which, though.

Daedra from Dagon's plane can no longer travel to Nirn. Due to the gates being shut permanently.

Sadface indeed.

People are missing something:

The gates were ALWAYS shut, except for the short period OB took place in. That didn't stop Daedra from being pulled into Nirn by conjurers. They can still be dragged in, against their will. They CAN'T invade in force, or voluntarily, though. That's what the point of shutting the gates is for.

Now, it may not be as easy as when the gates were wide open, but it's still somewhat possible.

Yes, but the dragonfires were lit later, I assume, therefore no more Oblivion portals can open up on Nirn until they go dark again. If they go dark again.
deadra have never once used oblivion gates before oblivion, they are always pulled through the planes of oblivion to mundas, the mortal plane, not to mention they can be bound to the mortal plan untill their physical bodies die (and their souls are sent back to oblivion to remake their bodies) using rituals

Which is probably why we're not seeing any of the more powerful daedric creatures being summoned by conjurers.

So I've been going through the game files, and I noticed that Bethesda seems to have forgotten to include the files for most of the Daedra. (And it looks like they were gonna include Centaurs at one point- their skeleton file is still there, but no models, unless they're wierdly in another directory)

We have Fire, Frost and Storm Atronachs... but that's it.

Um... what about Dremora, Clannfears and Scamps? At least?

I get they're not a priority because the game's not about Daedra this time, but they've been a staple of the series since Daggerfall. If you cut them out, you might as well cut out Imperials, since they've been in even LESS games. So, where are they?
Maybe now that oblivion is shut only more powerful daedra can come thru

Why is it the trend for people to complain about the game without even playing it?

Daedric summons are in the game, all the way up to a Dremora Lord.

Spoiler
Saw an earlier post with supposed official spell list and command dremora was in it
so I would think that daedra are still in the game.

There is a barrier, because of a pact with Akatosh

It prevents Oblivion from being open to Mundus

It can be breached by Magic (so to answer the original question, finishing Oblivion really makes no difference in summoning Daedra with magic because the barrier has always been up anyways)

During the Oblivion Crisis, the barrier was down, which is why there could be Oblivion gates (basically opening oblivion directly)

The barrier was reestablished after Martin's sacrifice BUT....
The dragon fires are not lit and the Septim line is done, thus man is in FULL violation of the http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Lore:The_Amulet_of_Kings

It is pretty easy to speculate what the game is about
Akatosh has assumed the mantle of destroyer (Alduin) in order to start things over again because the covenant was violated.

In case you forgot, the way to Oblivion is shut.

It was made by those who are dead, and the dead keep it.
....better stay that way,or there WILL be blood

Maybe I'm confused, (I'm not a Lore Expert) But arn't all those Daedra you mention minions of Dagon in the first place while other ones are less interating with the mortal world?

IN which case they would still be able to be in Skyrim.
