I find that kind of hard to...swallow. I know a lot of people live in cities, but not knowing bacon comes from pigs? Some of the other things are hard to believe as well. Milk? Eggs? Butter? I mean, these things don't just drop out of the sky. I guess I shouldn't be so gob-smacked - I lived in the country most of my childhood and we had cows, pigs and chickens at one time or the other. Plus my aunt and uncle had a cotton farm in California's San Joaquin Valley (loved visiting it). Still, I don't want to hear any more cracks about stupid Americans.

It does make me curious though - how many of you have had farm animals or lived on or visited a farm? How about a decent sized vegetable garden?
